CCC-DES-01-02 A Sanity Never Questioned

CCC-DES-01-02 A Sanity Never Questioned Jonathan does an excellent job writing a vivid and alive module that captures the fantasy and otherworldliness of the Feywild. The adventure brings characters into contact with the famed Hag, Jeny Greenteeth herself! Characters are sent into the Feywild to deliver a letter of great import; little do they realize the truce between the Fey might falter. Will they make it in time to deliver the letter?? That's the great thing about this module, it doesnt railroad the ending...there is literally four separate endings based off how the characters perform during the adventure. The combat is intense...good luck lasting all six rounds against a Fey War Party led by a Blackguard and over 10 other enemies (yikes!), but this keeps players engaged but throws in a lot of suprises to balance out the difficulty. I'll add lastly, that the adventure itself includes much more than that, as a DM I will use this module as a source of Fey lore. It is packed with a ton of lore built off the existing ...

The White Lady

The White Lady I like the premise of the adventure. I do not feel that the adventure would last four hours. The material presented here requires a DM to provide alot of fiat to make the adventure reach it projected time limit. It can be done though. I felt that there could have been a NPC summary somewhere to describe the NPCs. DMs may find themselves having to add a little here to give the players a bit more role-playing interaction. I will say that the boxed text was enjoyable, especially 'The White Lady' boxed text. Overall, this module provides the framework for a decent adventure. Where it lacks could be filled in fairly quickly with preparation. It does have elements of combat and socializing, which make it worth a purchase. ...

CCC-AETHER-01-02 The Heir of Orcus: Verse II

CCC-AETHER-01-02 The Heir of Orcus: Verse II I know this author, and he puts the same thoughfulness into his adventures as he does into everything else. The pairing of player choice with art is exquisite. This and Verse 1 are worth their price a few times over again. My only complaint is that he isn't running this at the D8 SUMMIT this year with all the other authors running their games.

Lost Raiders Journal 1 This product is a compilation of magical items and ideas, good for inspiration in almost any setting or system. I didn't understand all the references for all the items but otherwise there was some good content I would reccomend for any DM to take a look if you want some ideas for a unique twist to your game. I look forward to more works by TK in the future.

Fairy Tale Races This is a delightful collection of races based on fairy tale creatures you've probably heard of. The author did an excellent job giving them inspried abilities that actually felt like they belonged to each creature and balanced the races nicely.

The Kobolds' Gem

The Kobolds' Gem Hilariously fun with memorable NPCs and a funky chase mechanic that needs DMs to rely on the Rule of Cool. DMs will need to completely remodel unwieldy framing setup with Lord Bartle (keep the disguise potion and the untimely disguise drop), but overall the adventure is brisk, fun, and extremely funny. Lek-Lek, the energetic and industrious but unlucky kobold union organizer, will be a recurring character in our adventures for a long time to come. (We've already decided his next gig will be flipping houses: "WE BUY UGLY LAIR$.") Nice job by the author. Will definitely look for more of his stuff. *** Edit: We did a homebrew campaign set in an Old West-style mining town where Lek-Lek ran a detective agency/law firm that hired the characters. He also tried to unionize the local half-orcs (they were less amenable to his charms). Thanks for creating a great character!...

CCC-AETHER-01-02 The Heir of Orcus: Verse II I highly recommend this adventure. It's a beautiful module, which throws adventurers into a battle of cosmic proportions and consequences. I am a relatively new player & DM who started playing AL at the tail end of Season 6 and started DMing at the start of Season 7. I DM and play almost exclusively on Roll20/FG so most of my views are based on those experiences. What I liked: This story continues the theme of questioning the difference between good and evil. Though many players will go through the same main events, many will come out of it with different toughts. The adventurers thirsty for combat will not be disappointed as they face tough opponents and they will have the opportunity to use strategy to defeat some foes. This story has a lot of replayability because it has multiple avenues for player agency; I have been through the adventure several times and the adventure was not ever exactly the same The game took about as long as expected ...

Opus of Elemental Substance - 60 New Spells This is a very creative collection of spells! There are so many options for all spellcasting classes. I appreciate the amount of effort that went into crafting new and unique spells that do not behave exactly like existing spells in the game. A very enjoyable product!

Monstrous Races
by Elias H.
Publisher: Dungeon Masters Guild
Date Added: 12/10/2018 13:39:48
Monstrous Races If you want to give your players a lot more variety with one book, Monstrous Races is one of the best options. While there's plenty of creatures or monsters that seem worthless at first, with an RP focused group it can be great fun to toss one or two of these creatures into a party. While things like a skeleton necromancer may not be "optimal", it can still be a unique experience for any player. At $3 this book is an absolute steal.
