Palms Passing Parcel & Logistics Guild Palms Passing Parcel & Logistics Guild by Ryan Hennessy (@rdotwrites) What you have here is an entire mail, delivery and logistics guild with a storied history, ranks cut from a different cloth than your regular postal workers, august members and exploits across various planes, specialised equipment to ensure the job gets done right and a whole bundle of well thought-out, wittily named adventure seeds with advice and hooks that link them to various official campaigns, including a number for Rime of the Frostmaiden, as well as Lost Mines of Phandelver, Dragon Heist, Descent into Avernus and Curse of Strahd! They even have a professional logo! This is a clearly a labour of love; so well designed and described as to be utterly ingrained in Forgotten Realms and Sword Coast lore as to have truly convinced me Palms Passing Parcels & Logistics Guild have always been in the canon, it just took this document to shine the light on their dedicated work! Introduction “The package...

Flowers in the Dead House

Flowers in the Dead House I have bought and played this adventure and I am very happy with the result. The plot of the adventure is interesting and well designed. The scene descriptions represent perfectly the dark atmosphere of the adventure. It has adventure hooks that allow it to be linked to recent D&D campaigns. That's cool! The layout is simple but it's easy to read and everything is well ordered in three chapters. There are several maps and appendices to be played as purchased. One of the appendices has a small bestiary with very curious monsters, such as the primordial vengeful spirit. The adventure mixes investigation and combat and can be played perfectly as a one-shot. In short, very good adventure that my players and me have enjoyed!...

Dusk Tower Having played this adventure as a one shot, I can say the following: There are interesting NPCs with their own different agenda which gives depth to the whole story. The main antagoninst, Gregorian - has a rich backstory and a smart approach for roleplaying him towards the PCs (good battle tactics as well in the possible case of battling him). The tower has traps, riddles, skill checks and of course nice encounters - and all these in a one shot adventure! The secondary antagonist (no spoilers) has also smart battle tactics by game design which sticks well to the overall adventure. All in all, a good and fast one shot adventure which contains all the elements to make it memorable!...

Session 0: Checklist This is a good checklist. The only thing that I would put is character information. Like what is allowed what isn't.

Gardens of Fog I've used this story a few times and have found great success and enjoyment with the players that participated. It takes longer than 2 hours, so you might want to split this game up if you want to use all parts of it. I enjoyed the description of the settings and the description of the creatures. It would have been nice to have a small drawing of a map. It's an easy thing to start off with and use for therapy. I appreciated the mental health aspects in this game. Using a X card is a must since there are possibilities that your players might come across triggers that are difficult for them to handle. I have noticed that some of my players had difficulty in figuring out how to defeat their depression/anxiety, so I appreciated the information in the campaign on ways to nudge them or offer them support. I utilized this campaign with individuals that identify as trangender and it was easy for me to change a character to non binary. It appeared to be devoid of homophobic or raci...

The Spirit Guide Class

The Spirit Guide Class The class fulfils my everburning desire to play as a animal spirit who can both be a cute cat and actually a valid member of the party with worthwhile supportive abilities. Also as a slightly overattached player to my characters, I like having another option if my character dies rather than rolling up a new one. I think the class manages to give active and interesting support abilities with the new action options which give you choices, rather than just relegating you to a buff or heal bot. Looking forward to trying out the different manifestations in a game as it looks like the same subclass could play quite differently in practice depending on which ones you choose between damage focused ones and some more supporty ones....

Heroes of Baldur's Gate (5e)

Heroes of Baldur's Gate (5e) **My Verdict**: As a sourcebook this is a great resource and for anyone looking to set their game in or around Baldur's Gate it is definitely worth it to buy it for that. As an adventure though? It's a decent level 1-6 adventure but it does feel just like they were trying to find a way to cram in as many villains from the first game as possible. Having said that, they could have gotten a lot more wrong about small little canon details about these areas and (as someone who has created extensive mods of the games and is very familiar with them) they really did put the effort in here to get it right. Overall I'd definitely recommend this but (first and foremost) understand that you are mostly buying a sourcebook. **The Good**: - You get to revisit a lot of the classic places in BG1 - A lot of passion has clearly gone into these pages and it does seem like the authors care to do the games justice. - The art in general is really well done in this book. - If you want a modern sourceb...
