Book of Races: Yuan-ti Halfblood

Book of Races: Yuan-ti Halfblood Another entry in Kim's fantasic series, *Book of Races: Yuan-ti Halfblood* breathes new life into a race that is about three inches long in *Volo's*. Kim really plays to their strange and alien nature, their middling status role in yuan-ti heirarchy. But what I especially love is the new addition of the snake table, where their true nature comes out. You could have a snake head, arms that turn into snakes, a snake tail, or scales instead of skin. This really makes you all the more strange and terrifying to others, and builds on the mystique of the Yuan-ti. Would have liked some more art perhaps showing how the various types of mutations could look, but otherwise, a simple and stellar addition for anyone looking to make a scaly snake hooman. **Comics, Clerics, & Controllers d20 Roll: 18**...

Fleshforge (Dwiergus #2)

Fleshforge (Dwiergus #2) I really enjoyed this supplement. I finaly got to toss some of these bad boys at my players and it was a lot of fun. This book really gives off a sort of ancient mayan feel which is fantastic for the them. The monsters come rich with lore and description for each statblock. Now, I wanna talk about one of my favorite monsters in the book. The Hogkin. Never...in my life have i had a pig looking demon that could gradual just look a nearby pig and cause it to EXPLODE! This just blew my players away...see what I there? They wondered into a slaughter house full of explosive targets! Pick this bad boy up!...

Faiths of the Forgotten Realms 2
by Cameron D.
Publisher: Dungeon Masters Guild
Date Added: 01/18/2020 07:47:01
Faiths of the Forgotten Realms 2 I want this bad boy in hardcover so bad so I can plot it on my shelf right next to all my other books. What Micah and his team have done with this project is build from their first in a way that blows it out of the water. I remember looking through the original *Faiths of the Forgotten Realms* that a friend of mine had let me borrow, and this brought me back to that. Full of class options, new religious mechanics, and full of updated lore, *Faiths of the Forgotten Realms II* is a stellar addition to anyone's table if you are looking to have a spiritual or religius character who isn't your traditional plate-mail wearing, hammer-wielding bulky palabro. There is so much talent in this book and it shows - it is well laid out, amazingly organized, and just screams professionalism. It is really hard to pick just one subclass that I like from it, but I gotta give it to the Hearth Domain in the Dwarven Pantheon section (yes, they group archetypes by race domain, making it even easier to naviga...

The Complete Devout Handbook

The Complete Devout Handbook I love this supplement. Can we start with the absolutely hilarious disclaimer at the begining. Had me giggling for a bit too long. The layout is fantastic, and art is very eye catching, I mean, just look at that dope ass cover. While there is a plethora of well done character options and spells. I want to focus on the tattooed monk tradition with the mystical inks, all of which give a sort of boon. For example the ink of the crane, grants flying speed. This was so much fun to roleplay, having my tattoos come to life, such as the cranes detaching from my monk's body and lifting him into the sky, was just plain awesome! While I really enjoyed the entire collection, the tattoo ideas for me was an instant must have. There is so much content in here and it really feels as if it was pulled right out of an official WotC book. Well done!...

DDEX2-02 Embers of Elmwood (5e) a direct and compelling tale of betrayal. has some rough bits where players must fail for plot reasons, making it somewhat difficult to run, but it is a otherwise solid adventure.

Archetypes of Eberron: 31 Subclasses
by Cameron D.
Publisher: Dungeon Masters Guild
Date Added: 01/18/2020 06:46:18
Archetypes of Eberron: 31 Subclasses Let me tell you a story - a story of a little boy who made warforged champions like no tomorrow, a little boy who had dreams of lightning rail hiests and airship dogfights, a little boy who walked the jungles of Xendrik with ax and lantern in hand. Every time the *Across Eberron* team releases something new, I get blasted back through temporal tunnels to my 12 year old self, and the *Archetypes of Eberron* did so immensely. Merging fantastic story and beautiful art with powerful mechanics and archetypes that feel so rooted in Eberron you can feel the noir and pulp flowing off of them - this book blew me out of the water, and brought me back to all 3.5 Eberron. I am not going to list off all the archetypes because they are all freaking awesome and I want to play all of them. What I will say is that I want POD of this, now and now. I want to put this in hardcover on my bookshelf next to Eberronicon and my 3.5 Eberron titles. And for all of the throwbacks, great respect to the world, and ...

EB-01 The Night Land
by Matthew P.
Publisher: Dungeon Masters Guild
Date Added: 01/18/2020 06:25:17
EB-01 The Night Land THe Night Land is a collection of 3 shorter adventures (althought short in this case is slightly misleading) . Each adventure bar one makes use of the Mournlands but If Im honest, I dont think they needed to do so.. at least not yet. I have run this collection of scenarios twice. Firstly there is good use of locations within salvation. Both the Chapel of the Silver Flames and the Salvage Market are interesting locations. A visualised a frontier chapel .. but that was not exactly what we got. I think I would of preferred a little more preaching on behalf the of the cleric there (who is essentially the quest provider). My hope is that the first scenario gives a lot of lore exposition. Something that i think the scenario could of done more in, without me needing to explain who the silver Flame were using my own knowledge). THe quest involving the Chapel is essentially involving a Changeling (a race unique to Eberron) who masqueraded as a priest at the chapel to steal a rece...

EB-02 Voice in the Machine
by Matthew P.
Publisher: Dungeon Masters Guild
Date Added: 01/18/2020 05:56:13
EB-02 Voice in the Machine THe second in the Embers of War Organised play campaign, this scenario attempts to use a still tenous connection to an npc that the characters have possibly interacted with (due to some clever background on the fly work or some random rolls). I think this connection could be better built up first before being activated so quickly into the relationship. That aside, the premise of the scenario is that the characters are asked to rescue the Grey Dogs, a salvage team lead by this npc from a location deep into the Mournlands known as the Fireweave Bazaar. THe trip of 80 miles! is made via a seriels of ability checks in which the party will suffer some mostly good effects from being in the Mournlands (personally I felt the table a little too much in the pcs favor). The Fireweave Bazaar itself could be considered a small dungeon. It has some interesting locations (The Hall of Illusions was a standout for me) and I think so far is the best example of the magic as technology feel of E...

DDAL09-06 Infernal Insurgency DM’d this in 3.5 hours at a weekly public event. We…kind of/sort of…completed both bonus objectives. It was crazy fun, but it is also the worst edited adventure I ever read, which, surprisingly is the least of its problems. --Incomplete maps with colors that made them unreadable when printed black & white. I screengrabbed to PowerPoint and adjusted the brightness all the way up and the contrast all the way down. Also added more info and box text--contact me (nado.hopsong@gmail.com) if you want to see if it would work for you. --Maps are not in order bottom to top. Rooms are not numbered in logical order either. --There are war machines with no way to go anywhere but into the River Styx. I added a road to the South, which seems especially important if the party steals a car to get away. --Read up on the Barghest in Volos in order to understand the motivation of this key NPC. --The secret tunnel in room C15c is tied to Bonus Objective B. It’s easy to miss. I moved thi...

Ulraunt's Guide to the Planes: The Shadowfell

Ulraunt's Guide to the Planes: The Shadowfell I have to say that this book Rocks!!! I had always wanted to have a way to make the shadowfell invade the material realm and this book will allow me to do that. I had a little hiccup at first with the Raven Queen not being able to be provided but SHAR works even better than the Raven Queen. Her background fits perfectly for why she would want to come back to the material plane and the fact that the man in charge of the floating city makes a perfect way for the city to invade the material realm and start spreading the Shadowfell presence. I cant wait to read the rest of i and all it has in it to really put in the feel of an invading force. I cant wait to read any other books you have on other planes of existence. ...
