Monster Manual Expanded (5E)

Monster Manual Expanded (5E) The reviews about this product are bang on. This is the MM on steroids. Lots of choices for higher powered monsters to take on upper tiers of play and a lot more variety. Upon first look, my DM brain instinctively went Bwahaha! Yes it is that good. Layout and artwork are like any printed book published. If you are a DM, you don't just want this you need this to surprise and quite possibly kill your PC's. Have fun! Only one beef - I would like to see a hyperlinked table of contents with page numbers....

City and Wild

City and Wild This is quite a mediocre book of additions. It contains all you can imagine, ranging from more human subraces to guilds to new weapons. However, most of the additional content is useless. Until now, all we got to use from it were some of the additional weapons. Furthermore, it lets you deal special damage, such as necrotic and cold, far too easily. A sword of ice already deals cold damage instead of slashing! And it is full of grammar mistakes that makes it hard to read, along with imperfect artwork....

Asterik's Astounding Atrocities - 50+ New Magic Items

Asterik's Astounding Atrocities - 50+ New Magic Items A large compendium of additional magic items, complete with story hooks on the location where they can be bought. Quite well incorporatable, but the items themselves were quite useless and we didn't use them in any campaigns. Otherwise, nice work.

Lost Laboratory of Kwalish (5e) Absolutely great story! Loved the science-fiction, created a whole campaign to tie up to this one... Great instructions for the DM, with many options left open for creativity. Superb, definitely worth the money!

Tortle Package (5e) A very well written introduction to a fun and unique race. Not only do you get this creative and awesome race, you get an adventure to boot, as well as ways to tie your players into it. If you want a fun addition to your campaign, be it Faerun or homebrew, this is supplement is one you should seriously consider.

Lost Treasures of the Kornelia Downloaded PWYW (pay what you want) to checkout this module, Green background with white make it nearly impossible to read. PF (printer-friendly) version would be nice, but the current formatting (background/text colors) make my eyes hurt. I appreciate the effort for custom formatting the style of the document, but it was just poorly executed in my opinion. Would suggest to the publisher to try out https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com @creator. No problemo! By the way, the only way for me to reply to your responses is by editing my review. Not sure what it looks like from your end....

Monster Manual Expanded (5E) Superb resource for challenging high-level PCs with a variety of subtly different versions of familiar adversaries. Great idea, completed by great design and utility. Highly recommended. Makes DM-ing for a gonzo group of murderhomebrewed murder hobos more interesting, surprising and convenient.

One Shot: Of Conks & Cons This was a terrific game to play at our table! I've already ran it twice and every time it's been a completely uniquely amazing and different experience! There's enough content to not let the beginner DM think too much, but there is also enough "wiggle room" for the experienced DM to add in their own flair. I highly recommend this to all levels of experience as an add-on adventure to your own campaigns. The author really knows how to put the Deutsche in DnD!!!

A Village Called Nöhe - "Mist Taken Identity"

A Village Called Nöhe - "Mist Taken Identity" This was an awesome pick-up game for our podcast "DnD in Big D." Honestly we had no idea what we were gonna play and the cover art looked appropriate to the weather outside. We first thought it was gonna be a typical "let's go slaughter a monster!" scenario. Then we were quite enjoyably surprised when we found out it was a murder mystery!! The written format was a little clunky (we're kinda used to having compartmentalzed columns of info with the adventures that we run), but that one little gripe is very minimal compared to all of the sleuthing that the group did throughout the 2 hours of us recording the adventure! We REALLY enjoyed playing this and I'm gonna introduce this to many other DnD tables that I have the privilege of DMing. You should be very proud of what you have here! We'll reach out when the episode goes live. Job Well Done!...

FRC1 Ruins of Adventure (1e)

FRC1 Ruins of Adventure (1e) Ruins of Adventure is a tie-in module based on an old computer rpg called Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: The Pool of Radiance, a game that was somewhat popular for its time. The module was released at the same time as the video game as a cross promotion, the idea being "you liked the video game, now run it with your game group" and vice versa. The module follows the plot of the video game pretty well: the adventure party have come to the city of Phlan, which is mostly occupied with monsters controlled by some unknown enemy. Starting from the civilized area (which is more fleshed out in more detail, but does not have a map), the group performs various tasks for the ruling council of the civilized areas, clearing out the blocks one by one, until you finally face the enigmatic master of the forces that conquered Phlan so many years ago. While the adventure is very well done, there are a few things that make the game a little less engaging than it could be. First, the slums and mansion...

DDAL08-00 Once in Waterdeep

DDAL08-00 Once in Waterdeep Surprisingly verstatile module! I was nervous about the more open-ended format, but found it game me enough flexibility to do what each group wanted while still re-using the parts that glued everything together. One particular benefit of this approach was that it makes the mod GREAT to run with new players and younger kids. While my main group wanted a hack-n-slash combat, my 8-year-old and other family loved the silly fun of the other options. I've run this 3 times now, and each has been its own awesome version of a different party's origin story. Excited to see more mods in this style!!...
