This handy module provides a couple dozen locales from restaurants and taverns to curio shops and gentlemen's clubs. I like that they are compact enough to drop in quickly, while still providing some flavor text to hook your players with little added effort from the DM. The entire module is organized by the wards of Waterdeep, which helps to add some immersion and geographical realism for a party exploring the city.
Anyone looking for detailed lists of items, inventories, and prices may be disappointed--the locales are narrative, not mechanical. However, I think this is a good thing. Each locale is unique and narratively engaging, providing a good hook for the players and a seed of improv for the DM. And that's exactly what you want from a supplemental module like this. Simple, compact, interesting, and easy to drop in.
Style-wise the module could use another proofread for grammar here and there, but otherwise it's clean and well-organized, and the art is immersive and well suited to the content. I'll definitely use this next time I need to drop in some shops and points of interest.
