Another excellent adventure from the author. I ran this adventure in two sessions for a party of four and then five level six characters. Rising Sands was incredibly fun for the players and for me to run.
The adventure text is laid out extremely well. It's easy to follow and the DM will know exactly what happens next. I definitely appreciate notes on adjusting the difficulty of encounters. The best part of each encounter are the tactical suggestions. They have lots of great ideas on how to really turn the screws on the player. That said, it's a challenging adventure but never unfair. It's awesome to be able to find a module like this with RP challenges and puzzles. The players are already wondering what the implications of their choices may be. When if came to the final battle, the party was equally nervous and excited. They felt like they got out by the skin of the teeth.
Needless to say, the Defiler will be back in my campaign - he's a delightfully wicked and clever adversary that deserves another chance at murdering the party. In all, this was a coherent, massively fun adventure. I will be eagerly waiting the next adventure by this author.
