BrassikArts & Xhango Games "A Botanical Guide to Barovia" is an original and fantastic inclusion for everyone's favourite Domain of Dread. A careful read clearly shows the research and time that went into each botanical creation - rooting them in real-world botanical concepts and examples that many an avid gardener will recognize. I personally feel that the inclusion and focus on the flora of Barovia helps to root campaigns and stories within a world that players will feel is living and growing around them. Combining with the well thought out flora are excellent and evocative pieces of artwork by BrassikArts (amongst others) that give this guide the feel of opening an old herbalist's tome with freshly pressed specimens of each plant. On the note of player options, the subclasses are creative - the Tree Speaker ranger definitely has a distinct druidic vibe while maintaining the rangers more combat oriented focus and the Circle of Rot allows another avenue for non-spore druids to dance the line of a druidic necromancer or blighter. As for the adventure location introduced, I won't say much, that could spoil it at least, beyond that it is well thought out, quite creative in its execution, and offers a unique druidic flare to end-game options within the oldest and most storied Domain of Dread.
