"Blights" is an entertainingly gruesome exploration of a popular theme in many home campaigns: what if something wretched and plague-like infected the world you were already playing in?
DropTheDie's guide, written thoroughly and lovingly in "in-universe" narration, goes in depth on possible blights that might affect the surrounding environs, making for an excellent addition to any place where players might find books hoping to research what information they can on the grotesque signs of disease they've encountered. The inclusion of a stat block for the fungal blight is especially nice, as a jumping-off point to create other blighted encounters.
As far as the production of the text itself, it's rendered in multiple formats to accommodate people with maximum and minimal printing capability, and even includes some illustrations, my favorite being the walking fungal blight--seriously, it looks wicked.
My only gripe comes in the form of a personal problem, which is that the font choice is hard for my eyes to scan. I'm not dyslexic by any means, but certain fonts slow my reading to a crawl. The font that was chosen is meant to be of a kind that would be hand copied by the author or by a rudimentary press, and it makes perfect sense, so I can't fault the design choice even a little bit. All in all, a solid recommend!
