Just finished running this trilogy. Overall, it’s a great, epic, storyline. Exciting action sequences, high stakes, and some excellent imagery and lore. Fans of interesting RP possibilities and solid action set pieces will find a lot to like here. It’s definitely worthwhile to run the whole trilogy, as opposed to running as individual one-shots. Each adventure picks up where the previous one left off. Together they make for a solid, integrated arc.
The first episode is a lot fun and really opens with a bang. As written, it can looks a little slight. I wasn’t sure we would need the full 4 hours. I gave the RP options some room to flourish - giving players some time at the start to explore the adventures-on-vacation vibe. And after the cataclysm, they had some explaining to do when they were met by an angry mob in town. We ended up using the full time and my players had a blast.
