The maps themselves are great. But they're in PDF. This means that if you have a virtual tabletop game going you're going to need to do a lot of work to get them working.

I hate to give people one star reviews but these maps are very basic and lack detail. It was pretty much a waste of money for me.

The maps are not very detailed, and that's okay, but I am pretty unhappy about the giant "DM John Bard" watermark in each corner. It's not like a tiny artist's signature that blends into the background, it's a giant white box and it detracts significantly from the maps in a way that I don't want to use them.

I don't recommend spending $5 USD on these until the watermarks are removed.

This is as of yet the only product I've reviewed on DMs Guild, and it's a must for anyone running OotA. I'm running it on Roll20 and these maps (accompanied by Blando's) have been the only thing keeping me sane enough to do random encounters. I ended up keeping my party in the Silken Path longer than I'd planned just so I could use all of John's maps for it! They're really great, and his website's also got some other great resources for running OotA on a VTT, so check it out. Good stuff.

Great product! As another reviewer has said, a gridless option would be nice

The best parts of this set is the Underdark passages which provide a great variation of tunnels for any Underdark adventure. Map quality is good but wish there was a gridless option. The only downside of the set is the Darklake and Silken Path maps are quite boring compared to the Passages, still a great deal for the price.
