i got the POD and PDF, and they're pretty good scans.

the pdf is easy to read, and POD is really good, the maps are pretty good especially the city of greyhawk maps.

pretty good product for your own greyhawk campaign.

It's nice to see this book again and be able to read through it. Overall, the PDF seems complete with a few issues.

The maps on pages 2-3 are missing content close to the left/right edges, as if it was near the center of the book when it was scanned. Pages 4-5 (of the City of Greyhawk) are the same. The right edge has enough missing text to make it seem like there may have been another page, or another inch of the page that should have scanned?

On page 8, the text below the heading "The Adventure Begins" is truncated on the left hand side, above the Contents section.

For Page 9 (of the PDF...page 2 in the book) the entire right hand side of the page is truncated, missing a few letters. The rest of the pages seem to have scanned correctly with no truncations.

Overall, the look of the PDF scan is "dirty". When the scanning was done it seems like there was a lot of bleed through from the other side of the page. So, as you read through the PDF you can see ghost images of artwork and lettering on one page, then you move to the next page and can see where it came from. This gives the PDF a smudgy look, like someone had a graphite or charcoal pencil and touched the pages with dirty hands.

But, for me, the contents of the book are there and legible so it will work. Just consider the above if deciding to purchase this for yourself.

Three out of give for the content. Thorough, but pretty dull treatment of Greyhawk. Adventure hooks are lacklustre. I know 2E books of this era weren't exactly crackling with originality and inspiration, so this book about met my modest expectations.

One out of five for the scan. Several of the pages are missing content from being cut off, including the excellent regional map (the main reason I bought this PDF), rendering it largely useless. For the rest of the book, images bleed through onto the already muddy text. Cannot recommend.

the quality of teh scan is poor. The product is good but WotC should try harder to provide REAL High Quality Scans if they want us to pay for them.

Great product, poor quality scans - the text is fuzzy (though legible) and the text/art from the back side of the page bleeds through. Some pages (e.g. 1&2) are missing a strip off the edge.

The quality of the scans is pretty good. The maps of the cities, and other areas, are decent, but small print will be difficult to read, even if printed on a laser printer, due to the quality of the original scan. This is, however, a minor problem, hardly worth mentioning.

This book goes into great detail on the aftermath of the 'Greyhawk Wars'. They make suggestions for the DM who wishes to base/start their campaign in a particular geographical location, by suggesting you run the PC's through other TSR procucts which take place during, or just prior to, the wars. This will familiarize PC's with the region, its major NPC's, factions, and politics. It goes into great detail about the wars, and what happened to various powers/rulers, with many suggestions to the DM as to how they can handle things, and how they can change things in their home campaigns.

There is a lot of material here, to digest. It is not for the faint of heart, though you can certainly pick your favorite region, study up on it, and ignore the rest of the Flanneous! I believe this is it's true strength, and major usefulness. The "World of Greyhawk" setting, is so complex, you really have a smorgasbord of conflicts, and regions, to choose from. This book offers a mountain of information to flesh out nearly all regions of Greyhawk, after the wars. Pick your favorite spot, and read up on what transpired during the 'official' version of the wars, then decide what you want to do with your version of the aftermath. Cheers!
