I was expecting some sort of Curse of Strahd rework, from which I could maybe select the most interesting bits for my campaign. It's nothing of the sort. This is an entirely new campaign, very different from the original, with the only point in common being that there's "Strahd" written on the title. Now, that said, how is the book? The presentation is excellent (especially the visuals) and the material is well organized. The campaign is sort of a jumbly mess, though, so even with the good organization it might require some sessione of accurate study from the DM to have it make sense. The style of the campaign is pretty much "over the top", and that might appeal to some. It did not particularly appeal to me, though, hence the 3-stars as an overall evaluation.
