My players really loved this adventure, and I had a great time DMing it! (I ran it as a side quest to Waterdeep Dragon Heist.) Good material, an inspiring location and potential for thrilling and evocative combat encounters. They PCs were around 5th level, and the adventure scales for the party level.

I'll detail here the few changes I wanted to make, but otherwise I found overall that the module could be read and run easily. SPOILERS follow. I staged a bigger fight for the finale, not just outside with the undead coming up on the beaches but eventually inside the temple with the PCs also running some of the defending fighter/hunters against the onslaught. The giant spider was pushing to get through to stop Izalia, causing damage to the structure that was compromising the ritual. And the PCs had to kill this monstrosity twice as it was, in fact, a shapechanged handmaiden of Lolth. At the conclusion, the avatar of the Dark Maiden was more of a brief apparition and did not speak to the PCs - I felt that was more appropriate.

I'm definitely running this one again anytime I'm hoping for a good, compelling one shot or two-session adventure.
