My DM ran us through this as a level 1 group, and it was a refreshing change from the usual level 1 Goblins and Giant Rats. I've played mystery RPGs before, what I enjoyed about this one was that there wasn't just only clues leading to the culprit, but also clues that eliminated any wrong theories too. Whenever one of us thought we had it figured out, someone could point to another little detail or clue that stopped us from falling down that rabbit hole and kept the group on track to solve the mystery in a single session. That's a little detail many mysteries don't have, and it really kept the investigation moving.
