If you like Mike Arrow's style, you will like this module.

1) Fast Paced: Call to Action - Action - Action - Denouement.

2) Excellent usage of setting and lore. Astral Elves, a call to action that leans into the author's vision of them. Gith Priates? A staple of SJ since, well, since SJ in 2e.

3) The main battle is excellent as is, and can easily be ramped up to suit parties that are truly Very Strong. In addition it ties in environmental dangers acting as a sort of soft timer which help to push decisive action.

I just finished running this for the first time with 7 players with APL 15, so had to do raise the difficulty to Very Strong and it took us more than 2 hours to finish the first encounter. Everyone had fun flexing and pushing their PCs to the limit while I rolled recharge multiple times successfully. It was a bit hard to keep track of every creature's legendary resistances and actions but it was fun and hopefully made it challenging to the party.

I'll probably just stick with the Average or Strong difficulty next time though unless you really want to challenge your high level players.

Overall the intro was great, adventurers suddenly get thrown into a space adventure.

Putting together a two hour DungeonCraft is no mean feat and the author has nailed it with this one just like a Sharpshooter (which is a mean feat) would. This module has come out not long after the official guidelines were released, and off the back of the Feywild adventure Red Door, Black Heart.

With your purchase you'll also receive a couple of ship design maps upon which the mayhem and chaos of the encounters will be unleashed. Your players will be frantically plotting their manoevers on these maps or rapidly adjusting their hit points depending on how the story plays out.

The magic begins with the astral elves, their mystical homeland evocative of Greek mythology. Then a dramatic space journey ensues, two ships draw into combat, and a final foe threatens to turn the tables just when everything was quiet again ... too quiet obviously!

In summary "probably flawless'. The astral elves are still checking ...

I was lucky enough to playtest this adventure and knew I'd purchase it to run when it came out. Starfall wastes no time getting to the good stuff in this short combat focused adventure. The pace is fast and keeps players engaged from beginning to end. The monster selection is a highlight, giving the DM several fun stat blocks to play with and interesting and evocative environments to do battle in. If you're looking for a tier 3 adventure that's straight forward, fun and combat focused then this module is for you. It would also be very easy to drop into any campaign as a one shot and is incredible value for money.
