This book is a fantastic resource for spicing up loot. The tables are easy and quick to use and contain traits that would never have crossed my mind. I particularly enjoyed the intelligent weapons section, as it gives some really interesting options to add another dimension to your games while avoiding cliché fantasy tropes.

I've found this book is an excellent resource for creating custom magic items with loads of useful tables and guidance on how many of each type of trait an item should be given to remain balanced for its rarity. The section on intelligent items has really made me think about them in much more detail and it includes tables of traits for their personality, purpose, means of communication and even if they are able to move on their own. Finally the cursed items section has a range of curses that vary in effect from some that would make for amusing single sessions to others that could be played as a more long term problem. I really liked the format of presenting everything in tables so you have the option to completely randomise traits if you want to make some random loot rather than picking for a more bespoke item. There were quite a few good example items created using this system which will be great for just adding in to adventures when they thematically fit.
