Well written and fun. Loved how they connected the shops too.

Really found this useful. First, I absolutely love that it can be purchased as a physical copy (I'm old, so while pdfs are useful...they just aren't the same). Second, it arrived the day before my next adventure and I was instantly able to find "stuff" to use....so it really helped me flesh out my adventure almost immediately. Been running an adventure for a couple of teenage girls and they like the fey....so Fortuna's Fabulous Trifles was a real hit!

The content of this book hits a really nice balance between off the shelf items, rich backstories and rollable item effects. Would definitely recommend this addition to any DM looking for an easy way to make the gameplay of their adventures more immersive.

Very diverse selection of shops. Would recommend. Very entertaining to incorporate one (or some) of these into our campaigns.

Really usefull product. To be honest, I find shops a drain to setup but this was really easy to use!

Barely any shop content. Most of the material is large art or excessive information for a shopkeep.

This is an okay product, but not worth it for me. 1) The book loves to give custom pronouns. I find it distracting, but if you love having them, you'll probably enjoy the read more. 2) The artwork is all over the place, and the contrast between styles was jarring and (in the case of the very cartoony giant-breasted dragonborn) unpleasant. 3) The shops feel fairly useful and creative. I particularly liked it every time a mundane product was played up, such as Catelaine's No-no-smell. 4) That said, I don't find a lot of use for this with the myriad of random generators available online.

I would recommend this product to anyone who isn't accustomed to correlating shop information that is put out by the many creators who do it for free already. Or someone who wants a starting point for developing their own shops, but is overwhelmed by the various options out there and just wants to spend some money to have an instant template. It is convenient in that way, and the drama/quest seed ideas are pretty solid.

As a DM, shops and shopkeeping is a time drain. This product is a timesaver!. The stores are built with easy drop in capability you can find one that suits your game/town/etc. Each shop includes some possible colorful activities going on in the store itself for flavor alongside developed NPCs for roleplay. Those bits are just waiting for adventure hooks to be added by the DM. This one is going to be very handy for my next game.

This is a brilliant idea executed brilliantly!

Players love to:

1. go shopping and discover what cool stuff they might find,
2. investigate random buildings you didn't have anything planned for,
3. look for interesting named NPCs that are experts on weird stuff (or witnesses or sources of local info),
4. role-play,
5. find potential adventure everywhere.

This addresses all those needs, and with little to no prep! And it's beautifully written and illustrated to boot! More like this please!

This is an incredible resource. Imaginative and evocative shops for use in your game worlds when your players are looking to spend their hard-earned gold and ask what's available! The shopkeepers all have tonnes of personality which makes roleplaying them a great experience for you AND your players. Can't recommend it highly enough.
