(Spoiler-free review)

I played this adventure as a player with other friends.

I felt that the atmosphere in this adventure was quite unique, unlike the other adventures that I have played in Adventurer's league. As a big fan of mysteries, I really liked that each NPC had distinct personalities and their own secrets. Depending on what parts of The Waystop that the party chose to explore, or which NPCs they helped, different things were slowly discovered as the party unravels the secret behind The Waystop.

From my experience playing the adventure, I felt that this is a roleplay heavy and exploration based module, and there's always a chance to avoid the combat if desired. Players that are more passive and tend to shy away from roleplaying might have a more difficult time in this adventure (and might require some prompts by the DM). Combat is somewhat tough but brief, partly because when I played the module I was using an underleveled character (and an imbalanced party), and interacting with the NPCs more earlier on might have helped us piece together the mystery behind The Waystop faster.

Really liked the horror vibes as well, though embarassing to admit I was a bit scared of the narrative elements as I'm not really good with scary things, but overall it was a fun and myterious adventure that I would love to play again!
