I am eagerly awaiting my order of the physical copy but I am currently reading through this my second time on a pdf as it has everything I love in a book around a universe such as D&D. I love reading about different realms or planes of existence in many settings and this book encapsulates everything I like to stimulate my imagination.

The only thing I can critique is that the book does have some grammar errors that pop up now and then, more especially around the Plane of Dreams section, although the physical copy could have fixed these. The only other thing is that it does not have the Outlands and Sigil, which struck me odd as that appears to be the only thing missing from the entire cosmology.

That being said, I can't applaud this book enough and I will be a proud holder of my copy and will see myself reading through it more throughout my life whenever I wish to retake a planar roadtrip in my mind and perhaps if I ever found myself in a place to DM my own adventure around the planes in the future. Well done!

Thank you for the kind review! It was an absolute blast to go through each plane and flesh them out, and I tried to make sure each plane had a place in an adventure. As for the omissions, I couldn't address Sigil because it's part (THE part!) of the Planescape campaign setting, which is not currently open for DMsGuild authors to reference or use. Because the planes themselves predate Planescape in their D&D origins, I was able to get through with the rest of the content. Personally, I found the Outlands to be very much tied to the feel of Sigil so I left it out, but I do have an intention to revisit it in the Codex Appendix (a supplement detailing the Positive and Negative Energy Planes, Outlands, and Far Realm). Might drop the Outlands from the Appendix depending on what the new Planescape set from WotC looks like (one of the books in that set is called Sigil and the Outlands!).

This is everything I wanted in a guide to the planes, and is my favorite book to refer to out of all the ones I own. I just love that this book is a big thick one stop shop for all the lore you need to run a planar adventure. While I'm a sucker for the art in a lot of 5e books, it is really nice to get this beast of a textbook and open it to find enourmous amount of text and information. Its not filled with fluff and filler, you really get your money's worth as far as info on these planes and there's not much I can think of that is lacking. There is an endless amount of possibilities to use this, and it could be used to run a campaign all on its own or easily supplement any other campaign you already have. Products like this set the bar high, very happy I got the hardcover print.

If I were to desribe this product with a single word, it would be Versatile!

I'm a sucker for the Planes, especially the Nine Hells and the Abyss. I've been a long time avid fan of AJ's lore dumps on youtube. When I picked up the book, which shipped VERY quickly, I was pleasantly surprised to not only see lore on all planes of existence, but also detail on the hazards, settlements, encounters, and adventure hooks that you can use to implement the Plane into an adventure.

I especially liked the Mount Celestia chapter, because the author took great care in making it an excellent addition to every campaign. As he has stated, Paradise and Perfection environments are boring to a band of adventurers unless there's conflict or challenge. And in regards to the Nine Hells and the Abyss, I was not disappointed. Well, except for Malcanthet not being mentioned, but then again she's one of countless demon princes.

I also grew a fond appreciation for the Elemental planes as well. The artwork depicted in the Plane of Water was absolutely breathtaking, and the entries on Gehenna, Hades, and the Feywild are to die for.

This is the Planar Handbook we have always needed, but have never received. And even after 5e, the information added is timeless and will be beneficial for perspective, even in the earlier editions. I got the Hard Cover and it's my favorite book in my collection!

Please, make more Planar Content!

The sheer quantity of information and lore put into this book is absolutely insane. Anything you could need for any of the planes in your game is here, and you'll never lack inspiration or references to make up adventures, or supplement existing ones.

At first I found it strange that there are very few actual monster creations in this print, but then I realized how "used to that" we have all become. This is a supplement about the vast and myriad planes of existence. There are so many other works out there that deal with critters and shiny new "what-its" that I've come to expect that. This work is filled to the brim with ... words! ... It also has advice and help for running adventures that dip a toe into the multiverse all the way to adventurers that span the entirety of it.

It was shocking ... and so refreshing to read so many words and I must say that I am very impressed. Very good work! This will be one of those works I keep around when I finally get around to upgrading to 7th Edition of DnD.

Fantastic Work to you and your team!

Oh and spring for the print. You won't be disapointed.

I had originally purchased some of the individual Codices in this series in a previous bundle. Dave was very understanding and helped me find a solution to get updated to the new format.

This book has a wealth of information on the planes, presented in a way that's easy to find. With just a few minutes of reading, I was able to put together a fun encounter for my players on a plane they had asked an NPC about. It will take me a long time to get through all of this information, but if it's all the same quality as the Mount Celestia then I'll be set for many future encounters.

If you're looking for a one-stop shop for planar information, this is the book you need! I highly recommend picking this up.

Easily one of the most valuable resources in my D&D collection.

This massive, 364-page tome is a one-stop-shop, comprehensive manual for DMs (and players) that adventure in the planes.

Where do I even start. This product is a masterpiece, and by far the best planar resource I have seen for 5e. I have put a very large time sink into running a planar campaign, and this book has probably already saved me tens of hours of future time that I would have spent note taking. The book details every plane of existence, as well as adding on a "Plane of Dreams". Every plane of existence has a detailed depiction of the environment, which helps greatly when describing scenes and general happenings on the plane. As well as descriptions of locations, which I must say the descriptions have the perfect balance of information I need for running a session in any given location on a plane. The locations are not described to the minute detail, but they are described in a way that encompasses the main idea of the location. Some names of individuals and spots within the location are sprinkled in, giving the DM reading various ideas on what kind of encounters, stories, and adventures can transpire within any given location. All in all if you want to spend less time searching through old planar manuals, websites, and other older planar resources, and instead have a description of the multiverse that you can use a base for anything you can imagine, this is the product for you. I really hope to see even more from this writer, as the work done in this book is outstanding, it doesn't feel like an information dump, but a story for every part of the multiverse. 10/10 would recommend.

Great overview of the planes for 5e giving the GM a platform for guiding their players on adventures in the planes. If you are thinking of taking your planes out of the material plane is the best place to start. Highly recommended.

At almost 400 pages chock-full of content, this book is amongst the densest supplements I've ever encountered. It is, in essence, a comprehensive encyclopedia of the planes, and it does that job very well. Each plane is described in intricate detail, including their geographic and cosmological makeup, their denizens, leaders, and infrastructure, and a random encounter table is even provided for each plane. The book also ends with a series of tables for easily and quickly creating your own plane of the multiverse.

It is worth noting, however, that this book is almost entirely narrative in its presentation. This is a supplement whose content you need to read and digest before bringing it to the table; it will rarely serve as a tableside aid. It also contains no stat blocks or appendices whatsoever, so if you prefer to have your mechanics and narrative tightly-bound together, this is not the book for you. If, however, you enjoy learning the lore of the multiverse and don't mind some heavy reading before a session, this is a simply excellent supplement that can easily plug into any 5e game.

This is a wonderful supplement for multiverse lore compatible with D&D 5e. I purchased it with the intent of finding details expanding on chapter 2 of the 5e DM guide, and I was not disappointed. It reads like an official D&D book, with beautiful art and a professional format. The information is very useful, as well as being clear and well organized. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in running a planar campaign, especially if it's 5e. It's also a good reference in general if you're interested in lore. All of the planes included in 5e are covered in great detail, with the addition of the Plane of Dreams. Overall, this is an excellent book. I greatly appreciate the effort that went into writing this.
