There's some good stuff in here, but overall, I think we're not getting as much as we paid for.

What really killed this product for me was the pointless retcon of Ashemmi. It combined two of the worst aspects of how WotC treats the Realms: a retcon driven by designers not liking established lore, and a squandered opportunity to create an interesting new NPC with a unique backstory, instead of arbitrarily reshaping an existing NPC.

Had this book been priced at $10, it would have been a much better value. There is some good material, but squandered opportunities to create something new and exciting, as well.

Underwhelming, at best.

I was excited to get this, but now that I've read it, I am most thoroughly unimpressed.

The best thing that can be said is that this product takes a lot of scattered Candlekeep lore and puts it all in one place.

Sadly, it also feels like an advertisement for the author's other products, which are mentioned repeatedly. And it also feels like half of a supplement, with the added filler of another resource focusing on temporal magics -- an odd fit.

This product has value, but you're paying for a lot more than you're getting.

Another fine offering from George Krashos, well capturing the feel of Ed Greenwood's long-ago Dragon articles.
