Big fan of Dael's Monarch's Factory channel on the YT! I love how Dael's player subclass options and epic backgrounds encourage players to roleplay. It makes each seasion run more like a theatre game (which is how I prefer to DM). This book is essential for anyone running a campaign setting that has a Greco-Roman feel.

I did an entire review over quite a few videos on my YouTube channel, but I figured I should write something here too.

Overall, this is a fantastic supplement. My focus was on the subclasses and, while I found a few issues with some abilities and features initially, the vast majority of those issues were fixed with the 1.1 update. Well balanced and interesting to play, each one allows you to play their respective classes in a unique way that will really make your character feel epic and special. The backgrounds are detailed and gripping, giving you the ability to really root your character in the world of greek myth and legends. The new monster stat blocks give you examples of how these new subclasses could exist in your world outside the player's party and are steeped in lore from ancient times, adding that heoric flavor to your campaign that will help the players get lost in it. The list of names is very useful if, like me, you sometimes need a name on the fly for that one NPC your players decided they just HAD to know more about. The new magic items are a nice blend of mythic-themed weapons and armor and some novel wonderous items to add that heoric spice to your games.

Overall, I can't tell you how much I loved this supplement. Definitely worth the price and a great addition to any D&D library.

A really compelling addition to Theros and similarly themed ancient Mediterranean settings. The art is spectacular, consistant and highly evocative of the period, while the contents is balanced and thought provoking. As much as I am lookig forward to cutting up the battlemat with a Hoplite warrior it's the roleplaying oportunites of the returned that really intrigues me as a player. While the DM side of me is looking forward to re-skinning some of the Allies to respond to my players Divine Intervention roles.

All in all a great product, and anyone that likes the new WotC Theros sourse book, with it's ever present deities, will love the depth this brings to any PCs set in the golden age of antiquity.

I am enjoying every bit of this product so far, the subclasses are each so amazing! I look forward to one day using the subclasses, items, backgrounds, etc.. in a D&D game, as a DM or a player!

Big fan of all the character options here. The NPCs all seem like they create adventures on their own and even the smaller additions like names and backgrounds will be very useful.

I love these subclasses so much! Especially keen to play the College of Tragedy bard some time, it's so flavorful ('tragic flaw' has so much wonderful roleplay potential) and 'katharsis' is amazing.

I bought this for the subclasses but the backgrounds, extra spells (Chains of Fate is my favourite), and fun varied NPCs are wonderful too!

I consider this product a boon to any DnD-campaign, especially those set in a world inspired by Greek Mythology. It captures the spirit of the plane of Theros and backs it up with concise, well-rounded ressources for players and dms alike. Dael and Jeremy really managed to both add more nuance and redefine DnD 5E character classes with their new subclass-archetypes, more alligned with classic myths than Central European folklore. This includes but isn't limited to Hoplite Fighters, who fight in formation and command/inspire allies, reveling Druids that reduce their foes (or potentially friends) to their basic instincts, greco-roman wrestler Monks who give into the whispers of the god of slaughter and kettle-stirring, curse-weaving, bloodtithe-taking Warlocks. Dms will find the two unique backgrounds and the titular villains bursting with flavour and opportunities to hook many an adventure on. Sound work!

There are so many great aspects of this content; where do I even start... The simplest start is the layout and read, it's gorgeous and really fits that 5e theme going on (very much a very small component but still an appretiated one). I will admit that I'm not the most familiar with Magic the Gathering, but I am obsessed with how this ties in so many elements of classic Greek mythology, as well as historical elements, into D&D, and does so so well! I particularly enjoy the little nods to things like clerics emphasising the journey, and the way the fighters are based around common techniques seen military strategies when hoplites are used- it's so well done. It is so easy to picture the mechanics and playthrough of so many aspects of this already, which is something I'm typically not great at, so extra kudos for how well you've communicated everything as well. Also gotta highlight the balance that's been presented for all the subclasses- I love it! and with the npcs that have been introduced as well, plus so much more... I can't WAIT to play this with some friends (I may have started to plan a new campaign based around a lot of this content as I read). But yeah, FANTASTIC JOB I AM HYPE!

Really dig it! quick question about Blood Tithe for the warlock. It requires the creature (beast) to be unconsciousso in combat, you'd have to wait until a beast falls unconscious, then move to them, then use your bonus action to perform the sacrifice AND THEN use your action to cast your spell. So is Blood Tithe intended to be cast with a beast sacrifice outside of combat; and the action economy language there incase someone wants to attempt a combat beast Blood Tithe?
