This was fantastic! As our main campaign wrapped up, the DM tasked us (players) to take turns DMing one-shots for the next few months, so we can all try our hand at it.
What I loved:
The concept of quirks and bonus feats that elderly characters might have was the perfect quirk to make everyone laugh and enjoy it right off the bat! I randomly assigned them by handing out playing cards A-5 to the players around the table, red for feat, black for quirk, and went down the list for who got what. (But if you get quirk #3, it does negate one of the bonuses, so look out for that.) They were totally in stitches when the last man standing was the one with Alheimer's and he pretended to forget what he was even doing there. Nearly left his companions in the endgame, never to remember them or tell of their sacrifices. :)
Everything you need is included-maps, desdcriptions-- and it's all divided into Chapters to make it flow or break smoothly. This was easy to understand, although I could see it being better if important bits were in bold (like the location of an item their supposed to find or something.)
What I didn't:
This took us 5.5 hours to play, and that was without all of the enemies in the first temple room. It could probably do with less encounters, but if your table uses charisma a lot to avoid combat, it could move a lot faster.
All in all, the players loved it, and I felt capable as a new DM.
