I really thought there was potential here. I am running a mature game so I was looking for an adventure to deal with some adult themes, but I think this one mostly missed the mark. For starters, it seems odd to me that a 9th level paladin can't deal with this issue on her own, particularly when she runs a brothel and one of her ladies has been cursed. Especially with other paladins as backup. Like, isn't the discretion of her clients important and this feels like an internal matter to be dealt with discretely, not advertised on the job board.
Second, the economies make no sense to me. How is it that EVERY courtesan can afford a magic item to protect them against STIs? It sounds nice and all, but it's not like people become prostitutes because they have lots of other options. If you're making 2sp a romp, to make the installment payments on your amulet of health you'd need 4 paying customers every single night, and you still haven't paid rent or eaten for the month.
Then the actual mystery isn't really that mysterious. Just some new magic items and possessive jerks. Like I said, I really thought there was potential, but I'd say you should look elsewhere.
