The Underdark, and Faerûn's Underdark in particular, have been written about in guidebooks so many times that what possibly more could be said? Well, aside from some very cool Underdark specific druid and ranger stuff (I love the Favored Terrain spells in this series), we also visit areas of the Underdark other than Menzoberranzan, Gracklstugh, Blingdenstone, the usual suspects as it were. I was particularly interested in the 5e update of the Sharn Wall. We also find, in addition to the usual excellent write ups in this series of flora and fauna, a few interesting statblocks: a set of alternate deep dragons to the ones found in the more recent Fizban's Treasury of Dragons, at a higher CR across the board, and then a different take on the phaerimm than the one found in Minsc and Boo's Journal of Villainy - these ones come in different age categories, like a dragon. Which versions you prefer is up to you!

I have been waiting to get this for a long time. Though I gave the product 3 stars overall I felt it was lacking in 1 area...lore. I dont feel it had enough. I still enjoyed the product though and will definitely find it useful but really feel if youre going to label something an Almanac it should be filled to the brim. Was hoping to read more about Menzoberrzan, Blingdenstone or some other major settlement in the Underdark.

Hi Damian Thank you for your review. I apologize that you didn't feel like you got enough lore. The Amarune's Almanac line specifically avoids cities and settlements. It is a book about the wilderness regions of the Realms, first and foremost. We have a full preview enabled to view the contents of the book, and a fairly detailed product page that speaks to this effect. Thank you again for your patronage, and I hope you do find what is in the book to be of use for you.

This product was my first experience with the Amarune's Almanac series, and just...wow! I was totaly blown away by the in depth lore into the underdark, as well as the well thought out and designed player options. This was truly a delight to read. Delving my mind into the the caves, caverns and darkness of the underdark. If you're looking for a great companion for the Out of the Abyss adventures, or just want to dive into the Underdark, then make sure to pick up on this Almanac! Makes me excited to pick up the other books in the series.
