Honestly these Adaptable NPCs tomes (because let's be honest, they are), are something I wish I could get in a hardcover format. The stat blocks, the art, the adventures sigh it's all so good! As a DM who always thinks he has more time to prepare for a game then he actually does (i.e. prepping 20 minutes before the session) products like this are a lifesaver. The price may seem high, but the content and quality are well worth it.

GAH! URGH! I can't....I can't with these books, I just can't. There is so much juicy NPC goodness and it hurts, like I am literaly struggling with how to describe this chonky big ol tome that Trevor has thrown at us, as he does. Honestly, I will say this - I suck at making interesting NPCs, and making ones with stat blocks as beefy and well-developed as the ones in here. That's the truth. What Trevor decided to do with this here series was like "Hey, what if your NPCs were varied, had immense roleplay potential, and were all different levels of badassery?" Cause that is what you get with Adaptable NPCs II. Some examples - the Aging Burglar, the Eternal Revenant, the Dragon Whisperer, the Amethyst Knight. SO MUCH NPC FANTASTICNESS. IF you don't have a copy of this book and its predecessor, you are making a mistake. Filled with amazingly well created NPCs, all decked out with lovely art and laid out wonderfully, this is another product that if I could get in print I would give organs to do so. TL;DR - A MASTERPIECE

Adaptable NPCs is what I like to call a "Texture Supplement". Have you ever wondered how a particularly good DM manages to make the world feel so lived-in? They've spent hours and hours on building up a massive backlog of NPCs and buildings and hooks, only to be pulled out when they need that added "Texture" to keep immersion.

The magic of this comes from the versatility it gives your games, it does ALL THAT HEAVY LIFTING FOR YOU.

Each new NPC is painted with new depth and ability, and adds so much to the player's narrative experience beyond "This is a Bandit" "This is a Bandit Captain". It saves you HOURS of having to come up with the content on your own, meaning you can focus more on the adventure.

There are few supplements that could add as much quality-of-life to a Dungeon Master than this incredible book. I am quite honestly sorely tempted to recommend this over the OFFICIAL DUNGEON MASTERS GUIDE for most DMs.

An absolute MUST have for any DMs tool kit! These monsters have fantastic lore and great combat mechanics! I enjoyed every second of reading this bad boy, and already included a few of these amazing characters in an upcoming encounter to terrorize my players. With every entry I read, I am bombarded with fantastic ideas. It really does get the creative juices flowing. If you haven't picked this up, make sure to do so! . . . . . . . .

. . WHY ARE YOU STILL READING...GO AND BUY IT NOW!
