All three books are great for any DM, but thus one is my favorite. Now that I have these I feel like I couldn't live without them. I use at least one statblock from one of these books almost every session.

This book provides a lot of amazing monsters - my favorites are easily the NPC statblocks as humanoid enemies are lacking in D&D. Behind that, I quite enjoyed the Demon Lord Aspects and made use of a few of them (including the Covergirl, Lolth) in my campagin to the delight of my players.

The expanded monster manuals are all so great for giving you leveled up versions of monsters you can drop into your campaigns. I use them constantly to make it easier to build out encounters, especially at higher levels. All three are absolutely worth the money, and are the most used products I own from the guild.

Anything Monster Manual is generally my sweet spot and so I was excited to find this was a PoD item, but I have to say I was disappointed with this one overall. The artwork was mostly good with a significant amout of poor "1980s cartoon-ish" pictures thrown in. Just reading through the monster intros was an effort on a large percentage of entries. Roughly 50% or so had spelling errors, grammar errors, missing words, repeated words, and extra words. In a few cases the sentences were so bad I had to assume what the authors were trying to say because the sentence itself made absolutely no sense to me. It is almost like a final edit was never completed before sending the book off to print. Nor the two previous edits that should have been done either. I do like the overall ideas presented in the book, but the execution seems lacking to me. I want to give this a 3/5 but I just can't. Maybe if they improve the art it would be possible. If they decide to go back and give a thorough editing to the grammar issues, this could easily be a 4/5. If they do both then 5/5.

Just awesome. I cannot add anything new to the other glowing reviews, but will say I will buy every and any MM Expanded volume from this series. The ones in my library are already full of bookmarks, notes, and their inhabitants have graced years of my gameplay.

I love my hardcopy. It's definitely worth the asking price.

(Hard cover review)
As good as its predecessor if a bit more inspiring (see my review of the first tome).
I'd give it 4.5 stars, if that was an option, and I am hard to please.
Keep up the great work!

As a professional DM it is so important to keep things fresh and entertaining and that is exactly what these books provide! I could not be happier since downloading my copies!

More creatures for your adventures; always a good thing. This one includes a stat block for the wendigo. One gripe: the POD version doesn't have the spine glued to the cover. If you get the print version, be careful with it.

I love this book (and I) - I often want to use monsters of a particular theme (like Bugbears) but the player characters have already out-levelled them, and this book fills those gaps deliciously.
I love it.
Super stoked about #3 coming soon!

Got this in both PDF and hardback, NOT disappointed! Both this and its mate are exactly what they look like on the cover: an expanded look at the monster manual, adding harder-to-kill variants of nearly everything. The Book is incredinbly professional, and we're glad we scooped it up. good stuff!
PS. both of my comments will be the same because I'm copy and pasting, not spamming. yes, a little lazy, sorry-not-sorry. :-)

Just like the first iteration, this second MM Expanded II is a must. Again new and updated existing adds a depth that was much needed. I find myself using both books even more than the original MM... Another five stars.

Expertly Balanced and implemented, with plenty of flavor for the monsters that need a little uniqueness for their encounter. I especially enjoyed the aspects section, as it helped add a lot more presence for the demon lords that my party would never have enough skills to defeat, but stil be able to survive a weaker incarnation. Overall, a worthy purchase for those that want an otherworldly presence in their campaigns, and want either a stronger or weaker monster then those listed in the MM. This PDF provides all that and more!

Both this and the original Monster Manual Expanded are the best items I've purchsed on the DM's Guild, hands down. The sheer number of useful variants allows for more varied and interesting encounter building, and definitely make games much more fun for all involved. If you love having a greater selection of monsters to choose from, look no further than these books!
