This was a fantastic suppliment. While my palyers are not nearly close enough to be effected by the man of fire, I can have them bring together his artifacts and perfrom a summoning throughout the game as a bonus to the campaign story.

The only thing that wasn't clear to me (and this could be me not picking up on it) is what makes him "Excited". If that could be clarified, then I think that it would be spot on. Excellent work on these fun culinary weapons.

Hi Decapitated! Thank you for the wonderful review! The [Excited] modifier comes from The Book of House, and that's something I should call out in this supplement to avoid future confusion. With the [Excited] modifier, he gets that additional reaction to rapidly attack any other creatures within range. The modifier and any text in green (the Reaction and the second Challenge Rating) can be removed if you don't need it, or if the Man of Flames isn't really feeling combat. That said, the Man of Flames is usually full of energy and ready to throw down at a moment's notice. I hope that helps!

What a charming supplement! To date, all I knew of was the combat frying pan from an obscure 3.5 supplement. I love how the writer found a way to include a new level of flavor (ha!) in something as mundane as weaponry, and I look forward to implementing a few of these weapons in my current campaign! For a few bucks, this is a steal!
