I'll be perfectly transparant and say up front that at the time of writing this review, I have not run every adventure in this book yet. That said, as someone that is fairly new to DMing, the number of times that this collection of one page adventures has saved my bacon when my players have thrown me a curve ball by striking out in an unexpected direction has made it a session saver for me. They have thoroughly enjoyed every adventure I've used out of it so far and each one that I've tried has tied easily into my GoS campaign without issue.

I cannot recommend it enough and I'm so glad to have found this book and grateful to all the creators and organizers involved for bringing it to life and to the DM's Guild. It's been a delight to use and run!

Pros:

• Nearly 50 one-page adventures, dungeon crawls, and side stories.
• Something for everyone with a huge variety of writing styles, layout designs, maps and art.

Cons:

• No formatting rules leads to lots of issues, including rotating pages for landscape layouts and terribly tiny font size.

THE VERDICT: THE LONELY SCROLLS ADVENTURE CONTEST FEATURES NEARLY 50 ONE-PAGE ADVENTURES FOR SALTMARSH, SHOWCASING MANY VETERAN AND NEW DESIGNERS WITH AN INTERESTING LIMITATION.

Wow, this released just at the right time. I started my new Dragonlance campaign last night, but the main campaign content starts at level 3... I have new players so need to take them through level 1 and 2 first... this is when The Lonely Scroll Adventures popped up on my feed... perfect timing at the 11th hour of my prep... I decided to run A Silver Dark (by D. Taylor) as a drop in side-quest to get the party to level 2... It was a perfect introduction, bravo! All in all, this collection of one page adventures is super handy, and easy enough to just pick up and run with minimal preparation work. 100% recommend this product - well done to all the authors who submitted their work to this collection!

First Impressions

When you first grab this collection of one page adventures, you are going to be struck by the high quality of the work contained within, particularly the wide range of visual styles, many of which reach very high design standards. There is obviously a lot of talent and creativity here, coupled with attention for detail, the collection aims to please the reader and succeeds admirably right from the first glance.

The Contest

The whole idea began as a wishful tweet from the curator, M. T. BLACK, and gradually grew into a solid concept, which gained strong support from many in the community. The collection includes a whole page of insights from the contest judge TONY PETRECCA.

What srikes me about this adventure is the emotional impact of the story, which may well bring the reader to tears. It will certainly bring about a memorable moment for your game group, and undeniably will touch many hearts. The central NPC is immediately engaging, and lends a unique tone to the adventure.

A mini-dungeon located close to the town of Saltmarsh is nealty and clearly laid out, providing a model response for this contest. Your adventurers will love the dragon theme with a challenging climax.

A unique vessel is the main feature of this richly described aquatic adventure, a worthy foe in the form of a colourful pirate, with the overall impact being totally immersive in sea theme that your players may perhaps burst into sea shanties, but will definitely remember for years to come.

Best Urban Adventure

The adventure begins in the streets of Saltmarsh where a colourful bunch of NPCs bring the PCs into their unusual lives. Saltmarsh will never be the same again, this hilarious escapade will most likely result in tears of laughter bursting across your players faces as their unexpected encounters unfold.

Best Nautical Adventure
