First off, all Matt had to say was "Kraken" and I was more than down to take a peek at this bad cephalopod. I must say, Path of the Kraken does not dissapoint at all. Right off the bat at level three, you already get an amazing deep sea flavor - "What Lurks Beneath At level 3, with each of your blows, your target finds themselves weighed down with the depths of the seas themselves, and should they attempt to escape become entrapped by void-formed tentacles launching from deep within your being." That is just frigging badass. For any League of Legends players out there, if you ever wanted to bring Illaoi to life in a D&D game - boom. And, I won't spoil it, but the level fourteen ability is freaking awesome.
You can smell the sea salt, the brine, the ozone, and the trench-muck coming off of this little six-page beauty as it rises from the depths. Everyone needs to snag this badboy, even folks who don't play barbs, just so you can see the excellent job done with layout and composition. At the end of the day, if you don't pick up Path of the Kraken, you are gonna get dragged into the darkness by some void tentacles real quick.
