"Feed me Seymour!"

A very unique and flavourful variation on the Artificer which does admitedly pull it away from its typical "inventor" archetype but does so very well. This subclass differentiates itself from others beyond the plant theme with the "Mutations" your Wandering Plant can take, which allow you to customize your companion akin to the Warlock's Eldrich Invocations. Some of them feel redundant (the ability to add poison damage feels like a missed opportunity since most enemies resist poison, and there are options to add piercing, acid, or more bludgeoning damage instead) but given the ability to create a new Wandering Plant at will you can tailor your plant around whatever you may need for the situation.

It's a unique take on the class that differentiates itself in enough ways to feel special without feeling gimmicky. It's also probably the one Artificer subclass I could reasonably see a Druid multiclassing into. My one problem with the class is that the level 14 ability feels rather gimmicky, but thinking about it it's appropriate to the class and rather strong unless the DM specifically prohibits use of it by not letting you fight your "favoured enemy."
