I ran this for my friend. We are both quite new to D&D. The first story, The first Blush, was great. It is simple, linear and very suitable for beginners. The second story takes a huge jump in difficulty for both player and DM, with many places to go, many NPCs, red herrings, side quests and threads and facts to remember. We gave up half way through the second story, we needed a more gradual increase in difficulty.
I also had a few problems with the story itself. While interesting, it starts with the goal of getting to Waterdeep, then the rest of the story seems to have forgotten that goal. My friend's PC was always trying to get there but there seemed to be no options available for that. The second story also feels to me to be more about Garren and his goals (a support character) than the PC. This is probably all easy to work around with an experienced DM but for two people with only a few sessions eperience this is not a great bundle.
