If you are not familiar with the Malady Series, you are in for a treat. The series revolves around magical diseases, created by medical students, that add flavor and a level of detail and immersion that DM's love. If you haven't already, check out the other three here:

What I really liked about the newest installment of the Malady Codex, is that is felt true to the others in the series. It will be very easy to take these into your Saltmarsh campaigns, or even add them to your non-water campaigns as well. Squiditis? Yep, it's a thing. It starts with an aquatic encounter, and ends with all sorts of roleplaying and investigative goodies at the end. Broken bones from falls? Think of the hooks with your crew, while creating realism it deserves. My personal favorite is the Rainbow Mist; the blessing that turns into a curse... its so fun to read!
The writing is easy to read, the layout is top-notch, and the art adds the sparks to your imagination. I plan on using these in my campaign soon!
