When I first got this I was disappointed. Fast forward a bit and I went through it again and I was gravely mistaken. This supplement sets the stage for 100 plot/adventure hooks and many are quite intriguing. Well done on the creativity!!!

I finally got a chance to use this in my last session and it was worth it! I skimmed through and picked out a dozen items that seemed fun to populate a very sketchy back room in a shop with. Be careful though, if your players are like mine they might try to take everything-- mine adopted a poison-eating purple cat and bought a Hellraiser cube. I'm looking forward to creating a hell-dungeon for them to run through on Halloween. I gave the box a couple of high DC checks before they can open it, just so they don't unlock it too soon.

This is a fun supplement. It has a lot of quirky ideas and they're organized well enough that you can fill a shop with them with no effort at all. My players were excited and loved everything, though be prepared to answer a lot of impromptu questions; it's probably a good idea to pick out your items a little ahead of time in case they interrogate you. The simple explanations in this supplement offer a lot of room for innovation and provide a good starting point for the imagination though, so still very well worth it.

A great applause to the author and friends over at r/d100 on their success in "100 Items For Sale In A Fantasy Black Market"!

This material provides any enthusiastic GM or player with a variety of new items, from mundane to maniacal.

While some items are vague that could argued intentional to allow the GM to further expand or explore on these designs to specifically fit the adventure.

Improvements could be made by adding example prices to these black marker items, or finding images for some of the more peculiar items.

Really fun table. I adapted to a roll20 rollable table to add some fun for players and for myself.

Two errors:

1) the number 7 appears twice so table numbering is off. 2) a few items at the end of the table are missing numbers.

So, in effect you have to select, cut/paste all the text elsewhere and fixup the numbering, but the entries are really fun and it's pay what you want.

This is a really well laid out resource, with excellent ideas inside. I've given it 5/5 even though the author hasn't suggested prices as I think black market prices can be as crazy low or ridiculously high as you want; it's not as if the market's regulated! I've already pulled several of the items out of the list and put them into my current campaign, and will be dipping in again and again now that I have a fully stocked black market to access. Excellent all round.
