I'm the forever DM of my group, and I never run pre-made modules. I also tend not to run D&D these days, preferring Fate and (maybe someday) Genesys. That said, the character sketches sounded interesting and outside-of-the-box.
This book is great! The layout, art, and text setting are all very nice, very professional. I like the watercolor-ish art style, and the little typesetting details are fantastic, like the leading caps and the dividers and such.
The writing is good! I like the little touches, like the introductory monologue, the notes on combat and magic styles and mannerisms... There's little touches that I smiled at (the fighter whose uncle wouldn't let him go to Tashi port for some illusionist components? Ha!). This is totally and absolutely worth $5, probably more.
