After listening to this on On Shot Onslaught (def check out that podcast) - I decided to check it out and see what I could do with it. I am counting the days until I get to run this for my crazy bunch of friends as a 1 shot!!

Well written and works perfectly as a supplemental encounter if you are running an Underdark campaign, or as a stand alone one shot for some friends. I am looking forward to placing this into my Out of the Abyss campaign to see how my players decide to handle it. I agree with the other reviewer that some of the NPCs could have had more accessible stat blocks thrown together to make it slightly easier for the DM to run certain aspects of the encounter.

Very specific uses - and will requre some DM/Player coordination to keep balanced on a longer campaign. For a 1 shot this would be a fun domain to allow a player to go buck wild with and have some fun! Super happy to have this as a resource!

Going to start offering the Great Gobbler to my players... both in serious and 1 shot based games. Sure it is a quirky - campaign/holiday specific patron but I can see how a DM and a player with some sense of humor could REALLY lean into the role play!

Detailed - Interesting - Fun This is the MUST have companion for anyone wanting to do a sea based campaign or even just a side adventure at sea. It is well thought out and organized... so many options, tools, and resources for a DM to play with and adapt to maximize their seafaring adventures.
