Let me start off by saying that I purchase/play quite a bit of one shots. That being said, this is definitely in my top 3 favorites! It is the kind of silly that is just so fun for a one shot. Where else can you make your players fight giant emus?!

Even though the module is goofy, it has plenty of depth to the story as well and plenty of roleplaying opportunities for your players. The combat is fun, the jokes are good and the whole backstory to what is causing the current events is great. I can't recommend this one shot enough!

I am the DM of a podcast that plays through one shots from dmsguild called One-shot Onslaught and I ran this module for our first live show featuring Tracy from The Broadswords and Bryan from You Meet in a Tavern. If you want to see how all of us made it through the module then check out the links below.

I DM'd this module with my group after a serious session and they absolutely LOVED it - it was just the right amount of sillyness and humour and was extremely memorable. We all loved it SO much!!!! They fell in love with Cassidy and Lector and Elda - it was so nice having a happy gay couple in a module!! One of my party was so charmed by Elda and encouraged her to become a wizard like her! I decked out Belladonna in shuttershades and a crown and other kitzy rubbish which my players now have (after a debate on the morality of taking sentience away from an animal after her huge boss fight!!!) and it was an absolute riot. A VERY good module and worth every penny. Thoroughly enjoyed through and through.

The way its structured allows for more of an open experience in the town, despite being linear, and all the options for what to do if players agreed with Belladonna are all planned and accounted for. The module is easy to read and easy to refer to and its descriptions and information is concise, clear, and very open to how the GM wants to do it while still presenting a clear idea. Very well written.
