I had alot of fun running this, players had a great time playing it. 5 players at lvl 3 at Gen Con 2021. I included most of the extra challenge bits. Good mix of Combat, Social, and puzzles in just over 4.5 hours. I added a few props (a fish toy, a xanathar funko pop, a small "disco ball", and I made the reels of the slot machine). I recommend this either as a one shot or as a fun way to introduce the xanathar into you game.

This was SO MUCH FUN, both for the DM and the player. I had gotten so used to the typical level 1-4 adventure of "go take care of this low level monster" which always feels like a tutorial or filler. This module actually feels like a full adventure. It also has attractive elements for each type of player. Section 1 and 3 has a lot of combat, Section 2 has a lot of roleplay, and Section 3 has plenty of puzzles. It is a full, super fun and wacky story. 10/10 would recommend.

Pro tip: for extra fun, have someone voice Fin the Fish as Klaus from American Dad.

Really fun premise, it's got an inherently wacky, light-hearted heist vibe and helped engage new players! Well-written and well laid out, super easy to scan and use as a GM. Maps aren't super high production value but it wasn't a huge deal for us. The dock scene in particular can be easily supplemented with another prettier map you find elsewhere.

Absolutely love this as, apart from being great fun, the players always find the balance between combat and rp to be perfect, particularly for a short adventure. Very highly reccommended.

I Used this as an intro into W:DH, and it was a huge hit. Months later and my players are still talking about how they should have taken thos or that item from the table, and the disco room was a huge hit also. Tons of fun!

I did this for the first half of this last week as an intro into Dragon Heist. I watched probably one of the top 3 role-playing events of 20+ years for me.

I used this module as part of Chapter 2 of Waterdeep: Dragon Heist and loved it. It's a great framework to build an adventure (though you may need to file down some of the sillier bits if you run a more serious campaign) with lasting implications for the party. Highly recommended!

A solid 45 pages of adventure, which is honestly incredibly thick. The amount of content here is above and beyond most of the adventures you'll find on the guild, and it ends in a way that's exciting and fun. A solid pace keeps everything interesting and a colorful cast of characters (both allies and foes) will remain memorable for your table long after they've completed the adventure.

If you're running this along side Dragon Heist, do know that it will have lasting consequences at your table even if your villain isn't Xanathar. Also two magic items (Disco Ball and "Wizardry For Dummies") are both so jokey, it was a detractor for me. But the adventure is great and I doubt there's anyone out there who would be stopped by two silly items.
