Exploration: This adventures was a lot of fun to run. The backstory gives alot of flavor to Faerun history in the Moonsea region, which I feel makes a game more immersive.

Combat: The combats were fun, and challenging if ran with some preparation. The last encounter can be very deadly to the wrong group. Due to Season 8 magic item unlocks, most combats are a joke, but these combats should give most groups somewhat of a challenge.

Roleplaying: Mininimal roleplaying, but that can be adjusted by the DM.

Overall, one of my favorite Tier 3s to run.

Story: Enjoyed the Faerun specific god lore and how authors puts 2 groups at odds over the future of a region in the Flooded Forest.

Exploration The characters get to explore an sanctum of an evil god and her minions. Alot of fun and alot of different ways the group can approached this (stealth vs. all out brawl).

Combat A lot of combat to get to where they need to go. Can avoid some with stealth, but the envionrment makes it hard to do. The combats and adversaries are fun to run for the combats and the finale is pretty amazing and allows the players some say in how it ends. There is some interaction with the environment that will impact combat which was a nice change.

Roleplaying Not a lot but when there is it is a lot of fun with a few NPCs and monsters. Roleplaying impacts bonus objectives which I really liked.

Sandbox vs Linear The goal is linear but getting there is not. Depending how and where they go in the Sanctum will impact their succes or failure.

Maps, Miniatures, etc. The Map is HUGE. Was not a big deal running this on roll20, but a nightmare on table top. Suggest theatre of mind until you get to combats.

Over all an enjoyable module. I would suggest running the pregquel and then this one if pssible with same group.

Story: Enjoyed the Faerun specific god lore and how authors puts 2 groups at odds over the future of a region in the Flooded Forest.

Exploration Cavernous regions that puts players in a dangerous environment. Allows for some stealthing.

Combat Combats are enjoyable but not too deadly for tier 2. Set up is fun for a couple of them. One will need hard hitters to overcome a damage threshold so if a group of monks run this good luck.

Roleplaying Some in the beginning and depending on the encounters, may have more. However, roleplaying takes a back seat in this one.

Sandbox vs Linear Mission is linear, but once in the caverns there is some randomness to encounters.

Maps, Miniatures, etc. Maps for areas are provided, but nothing too detailed. Maps are not to big so if running tabe top with miniatures shouldn't be a lot of prep time. If running in roll20 or FGs, I would suggest making your own maps.

Over all an enjoyable module. I would suggest running both this one and the sequel with the same group since it ends at the beginning of the sequel.

Excellent module for an epic trilogy. The story has a feeling of doom for the Moonsea region and the players feel the need to step up no matter the danger.

The combats are fun challenging, and not over the top for tier 3. The final combat brings a feel of possible death if the option tactic is used.

Overall I would recommend running the trilogy with the same group if posssible.

Great Module! Group and I DM loved it and loved the Planar travel theme. Great one shot adventure and a good one to play for a one shot.

I enjoyed runnning this adventure and like the Zhentil Keep theme. I really like the lore around Zhentil Keep and brings back fond memories when I played the old 2e Ruins of Zhentil Keep. The combats are slightly weak, but most Tier 3 AL groups are overpowered at this point anyways with certain magic items they can obtain.

The NPCs have good flavor for roleplaying. The main NPCs motives are a little contrived and I would have wished for a little more specifics for one of the pivotal encounters (i.e., persuade or gett attacked). However, this does allow for the DM to use there own ability to make the encounter memorable and not be the same everytime.

The ending leaves the characters in a slight cliff hanger, so if possible I suggest running the 3 modules in this series together.

Overall enjoyed running the module and look forward in finishing out the next two!

Fun adventure. Slightly linear, but good for beginner group. Combat and tactics make room for group innovation. Enjoyed playing and running it.
