Really enjoyable adventure. I used this along with the other titles in this series to launch a campaign I am DMing. This was my first time jumping back into being a DM after a long time away from the game. The modules were very easy to understand and provided lots of good information on what was happening in the bigger arc (which I was choosing to use).

I did not run into any problems running the module and the players seemed to enjoy the adventure. Nice shift to an urban adventure and having the players doing some sleuthing work. Very satisfying conclusion.

Only issue I ran into was the time constraints for the final encounter. My players tended to be ranged attack oriented and there is not much to help them recognize that the clock is ticking on them.

I've recommended this entire series several times to other DMs looking for something to launch a campaign or that want something in the Moonsea area.

The Tenets of Bane series were the first Adventures I ever DM'd after reading tons of reviews. Very easy to follow. Very Easy to DM. I've ran this 3 times and the players always enjoy it! The ship battle at the end is EPIC!! I Highly recomment the Tenets of Bane series!

I just realized I hadn't come on here to rate these amazing adventures! I first encountered this series as a player at the Gamex convention in Los Angeles in May 2018. I played the entire arc and I LOVED the story! Then, in October 2018, I ran this entire arc as a DM both in person and online. I am in love with Dave Zajac now because he put such lovely detail and heart into the series: the document layout, the beautiful color maps, the use of varied and little seen creatures from 5th Edition, the use of weather and exhaustion mechanics, a handicapable person with a great background, one of the only fun underwater adventures I've ever dealt with, and on and on. I was a turd to forget to write the review so today I was on my dmsguild update page when I saw that all 4 adventures had been updated for Season 8. This amazing creator went into each adventure and gave us 2 pages of detailed rewards info (including a page of just the magic items with tables that can be printed for each player) that is just as clear and to the point as everything else about these adventures. If you haven't played these 4 adventures yet, buy them and pass them to a DM who will run them. I doubt you will find a more interesting Tier 1 series than this. If you're a DM, buy this entire set now and enjoy your deep dive into the intricacies of Torm and Bane and all the fun you can have incorporating that into your roleplay.

The plot twist really put players into roleplaying, instead of just fighting non stop. The city NPCs each is unique, and the players have fun interacting with them. The last fight was challenging, but fair. Everyone had a fun time.

Nice little breather from the first three and sets up the classice twists and betrayal to drive the party further. Classic story of npc's sending out for powerful evil artifacts only to double cross the party. Had my players really biting to interrogate the culprits. The extended Fight Club portion is a store favorite and I regularily run that as a stand alone "Player versus Player" 16 person tournement when people want to test out new builds. I ask a question to the other side if that can count as AL legal.

I ran all 4 of the Tenants of Bane series in one long session and the last did not disappoint. We had a blast with these and they did not require a lot of prep time on my part to DM them. Throughout the series it was nice that they gave you time estimates for each section of the adventure. I liked that it added an element of tactics and strategy to go with role playing to uncover clues throughout the town. This was a great series. This one has a nice item to unlock for season 8 that players may really want. The optional encounter at the end was a lot of fun for the players and I think they get to keep the potions with the new rules for treasure?

HAPPY SATURDAY ADVENTURERS!!! The Black Hand is an excellent journey! Begining with a heart felt plea from a lovely lady. Leading to intrigue and a trail of bread crumbs leading to a recue mission of dire consequence and ultimately SAVING THE WORLD! Combat the hatred, tyranny, and fear Bane is trying to unleash upon Faerun! My players loved it and I reccomend! ALL THE ADVENTURE!!!

Great ending to a great series. Just the right amount of roleplaying and combat, with each very scalable dependingon your party's tendencies. Will there is another in the series? It ends with no resolution to the overarcing problem--which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but would like to see the further adventures involving the Tenets.

Thanks for the review, Henry! There are four additional 2-hour tier 2 adventures planned in the Tenets of Bane series, after which, it will conclude. The adventures should debut at Winter War in Champaign-Urbana, IL in January of 2019 and be released thereafter.

I have not run this adventure yet, but I have run the other three in the series. From carefully reading through, it appears to offer more of the same awesomeness, but with even greater depth and role playing opportunity. I look forward to presenting this challenge at my table soon!

This adventure really does a nice job wrapping up all the loose ends to 4 adventure campaign. I recently ran this at a local Con and the players really enjoyed it. There is a pretty cool roleplaying scenrio in the middle of the adventure that you could add some flaover to if your players enjoy that kind of stuff. The final encounter is EPIC and you will have a blast running it. Your players will have a hard time figuring out the best way to proceed because there are just so many options to the scenrio or play around with during the encounter.
