This is a priceless collection of converted spells from the Kara-Tur region of the Forgotten Realms. Several of these spells strongly capture the feel of the original material and its eastern inspiration, supporting a Eastern flavored character or campaign. The conversions are masterfully done.

There are a few typos, though none that seem so severe as to be system impacting. I do feel, as other reviewers have mentioned, that the addition of a spells by class or caster type list would add a GREAT deal of value to this collection.

I love this book. From the flavor of the spells to the actual spell effects themselves. My one complaint is that there are no spell lists encompasing which classes can use which spells, or archetypes of certain classes for that matter.

Hello, Jason! R P Davis here. I'm glad you find the book useful! I'm working on an update which will offer up some suggestions as to which spells are appropriate for divine vs arcane casters, at the very least. I'm afraid, however, that class archetypes are beyond the scope of this work. I may revisit some classes and archetypes from Kara-Tur in future releases. Thanks for your kind words and your review!

I was always a fan of AD&D's Oriental Adventures book back in the day, and I've run a ton of games in Kara-Tur. This provides a 5e update to some of the classic spells from that book, allowing you to bring a taste of Kara-Tur to your game (or some Wire Fu, depending on your tastes and how often you let people cast Air Walk). The only thing I wish this did would be to provide guidance for which spell lists these should be added to, rather than suggesting that DMs do it themselves, but I understand why that decision was made. All in all this is a great product with a ton of new spells that I'll definitely get a lot of use out of.
