I ran this for a party of four. They fought all the sahuagin, got chased out of the forest by crabs and angry trees, then stayed on the path (after bypassing the mud pits). After that everything went mostly as expected with a druid using animal friendship to hitch a ride across the water on the giant octopus. After talking to the merfolk and fighting the guardian they made it to the castle and were surprised to find out they had been on a giant sea turtle the whole time, but everyone seemed to really enjoy it. This took us about 3 and 1/2 hours, which is just about a full session for us. Overall easy to run, and a good introduction for DMs and players interested in aquatic adventures.
