An expansion for Fizban's, While Fizban's is an already good book. The Draconomicon for 5e is a much needed expansion in a dragon lacking 5th edition. These dragons are more flavor enemies for you to play around with.

I love this product! I'm definetly a dragon nerd, so this was right up my alley. All the new dragons presented here are amazing and ready to be dropped right into a dungeon. The only thing I ran into was the formatting on my computer would cut some of the lore text off in weird spots but nothing major.

Would you mind sending some examples of these formatting issues to thearcaneathenaeum@gmail.com? I'd like to see if there's something I can do to fix the issue, it could be a formatting mistake on my part.

The purple dragon listed in this PDF is the deep dragon. Both are purple in color. A true purple dragon is rare and is offspring of a Red and Blue dragon with a plasma breath weapon, please consider adding the true purple to this document and rename the current one to the deep dragon. Are you also considering the other chromatic colors as well, for example the orange or yellow dragon? I'm on standby for the metallic update to see how the ones listed in the description get translated to DnD 5e.

Hey, thank you for the review! The metallics are coming along, slowly but surely. To comment on your purple dragon lore, you are correct in a certain sense. What is commonly known as a "purple dragon" has changed throughout the years. Before 4e, the creature called a purple dragon and the creature called a deep dragon were indeed different. However, both had purple scales, both had long, thin, slender bodies, and both lived underground in the Underdark. When 4e released its Draconomicon I, they apparently decided to combine the two into one creature, since they were very similar already; which was called both a purple dragon and a deep dragon. The purple dragon in this document is based off the 4e version, so I don't believe it's inaccurate, just pulling from a different part of D&D history. I might release the older purple dragon in some capacity though, but it'll likely be after the rest of the metallics are done. Maybe as an alternate version of the purple dragon here.

Draconomicon I: Chromatic Dragons is based on the 4th edition supplement. The author states that it is part 1 of a 3 part series in their Draconomicon product series.

The quality, presentation and layout is spectacular and highly professional. Each dragon converted from 4e to 5e appears to be well researched and balanced to include in the latest edition of D&D.

The only fault I found with this excellent product is that it is too short at only 15 pages long. It would be better if the author waited until part 2 & 3 were completed and released it as just one larger size book.
