Enjoyable Mod. The combat was varied, and suitably challenging to the point where there was a concious decision to give up on the secret mission for fear of death. A good challenge, and the story award for those who lied was a nice twist.

Thhis mod is another fun one. A great amount of Lore and some real interesting RP and exploration make for a fun experience and the little tips really help to set the atmosphere and give the players a more immersive experience. I don't think it should be open to the lower tiers - T3 seems more appropriate at an absolute minimum just from a logistical point of view. I can't see a reason why people with such little skill and experience would be sent to such an important place (especially considering what's there). It was quite fun to DM and play, and I was pretty happy that the trauma experienced by some players played through to the later modules and has had a lasting effect. Double thumbs up.

Definitely requires some adjustments during the final fight to pose a bit more of a challenge. Poor editing however made for a frustrating experience and greatly takes away from what over al lcould have been a great trilogy. If the DM works for it though, it can be a great game.

PRetty good overall. Some people definitely end up needing some heavy handed hinting at some points. Good plot through the module, but trigger happy players who spend resources tend to have a harder time through the last half. With that in mind, it is really important for the DM to adjust as necesarry.

This was a reall fun mod overall and a great way to introduce interesting mechanics for players as opposed to slogging out a million and one combats. It did take longer than 2 hours, but it's worth budgeting that extra time in order to take your time with the roleplay and skill chalenge. It also gives the opportunity to really indulge the player's creativity.

All the fun of the underdark, fitting right in with the S3 theme. The usual madness always makes for a fun experience, and being able to give the party choice always makes for a fun experience as does faerzress. I don't think it's anything special, but overall it's a fun and fairly balanced mod.

I found the adventure hooks rather frustrating, my players hate being 'voluntold' to go do things, and it doesn't leave them invested in the story or their involvement. Given that it's a 2-hour slot and time is of the essence (and the tendency for modules to run over) searching for background appropriate adventure hooks is a luxury many don't have. That is however, more of a pet hate than world shattering problem. Still would have been nice to have some further hooks listed.

That being said, the rest of the adventure was good overall. The overall theme and concept war fun and the interactions with NPC's made for some fun encounters. The puzzle was basic but fun, and the combats were good too.

The combat was very hard for the players, they struggled quite a bit, but as a whole the adventure was good. The escape of the enemies at the end, leading to failure of the mission can be frustrating, and I think that it's important to challenge the players not to work against them in the final encouter especially in cases where the party is weak/very weak and the party make up is poor.

A great all around mod with a great balance of RP, exploration and combat. A great mod for beginners to give them a good feeling of what the game can offer and get them invested.

Overall they ran as a good introductory series for both new players to the game and players new to the region, they helped to introduce the region of Chult, in addition to the various factions and provide varried mechanical challenges to the players.

The investigation part of this module is great fun for a group who is keen to RP and the combats were interesting. I do find that it can have a tendency to run a fair bit overtime due to the investigation when I run it, but that being said, it never feels like it drags on - it is still engaging.

This one was a bit more fun than the former with an interesting ploa and the combat wasn't particularly hard. I did find the second half a bit messy to run and there is the potential for a lot of confusion during the final encounter depending on how it is run - especially if the PC's had some level of delay to their persuit of the giants. I had given it a read through before hand, but the final encounter still felt a little overwhelming to manage.

The combats were interesting, but felt tedious for the players as opposed to enjoyable due to the underwater mechanics. Overall the plot was good and it led on well to the follow up. There was a few nice RP interactions to play off too.

I would consider this adventure to be a fairly ideal example of what a T4 should be.

It had some great RP elements, and plenty of lore throughout the adventure. Getting the players more invested by taking notes of their character’s experiences and feelings throughout the adventure was a great way to keep them more interested and made for a entertaining conclusion. There was plenty of opportunities to play off the character’s previous trauma from dealing with Kyuss’ minions in the prequel, but I did feel that it wouldn’t have been as enjoyable if there wasn’t someone who had played DDAL00-01.

The combat was first and foremost -challenging! There was a sense of danger and impending death at a few points in the final fight and it provided plenty of emphasis to just how dangerous their foes truly are at this level. The scaling was tricky to get right with a smaller party, especially one with fairly balanced characters. The suggestions in the mod were a great start to scaling (especially if some parties were a bit heavy in certain roles eg. casters). I did find that the damage in the final encounter was on the high side. That being said, it was a great overall, and with a little care, it wasn’t too hard to give them a real challenge.

I did find the formating of some of encounters a bit full on, and not the most user friendly format. It required fairly thorough preparation, and it does leave a lot of the detail and description to the DM which can be a bit of a struggle for some.
