I love this and borrow, adopt, and steal from it whenever I want to have some fun with a low-stress, high quality fun-house style dungeon.

A fun, jaunty one-shot that's great for groups who enjoy puzzles and obstacle courses. Some of the puzzles were better than others, particularly the ones that were more visual and relied on description from the GM. But overall this is a great option for a quick one-shot adventure.

Do not bother with this product. The whole dungeon is one big troll that ends with the players giving up their most valuable possessions and getting a pinecone in return. If your DM runs this, don't play with them again.

I just ran this adventure with two brand new players and it was perfect for brand new level 1 adventurers just learning the game. I changed the character of Testicles to be a level 1 fighter so they could have a basic combat encounter to round out the game. My only complaint: for the LIFE of me, I have no idea what the last puzzle room is supposed to mean. I just couldn't make any sense of the text to explain to the players what to do so I changed that entirely. Was I supposed to come up with a number they were supposed to roll to? Could someone roll zero points by getting no 5's or 3's and still succeed? Completely mystified me. The challenges of the other rooms were really basic, but great for new adventurers to grapple with the options available to them. It was great for them to try new ideas and use their skill checks. All in all I did really enjoy it, just did not understand that final room at all.

Absolutely loved running this as a short notice one-shot when some of my podcast team couldn't make the session. Great fun, made a change for a non life-threatening adventure that actually made my players slow down and think outside the box. The randomness of the rooms makes this ideal for running again, or just as a resource for puzzle rooms!

Is Bryce K on Twitter? Would love to give him a shoutout as our episodes are being published in the podcast (OCD&D).

Ha, I am days away from launching my own podcast, so if you want to shout out @MarrieDnD, where I'm playing a one-on-one spy thriller set in a D&D world with my wife, I'd be much obliged!

New & experienced players had a blast with this adventure. Took us over 8 hours, created a soundtrack to go with it (especially for the dance room), overall just a lot of fun.

I downloaded this last-minute for a couple of my players, and we had a fantastic time with random characters outside of our normal campaign setting. Just be aware that your players probably won't like getting tricked and may intimidate Igor once he's tricked them. Mine robbed the poor guy blind.

Igor's Challenge is a short adventure created by AuthorDM Bryce. The greatest strength of this adventure is that it is composed almost entirely of a series of traps and puzzles, some of which are unique and interesting. However, several of these puzzles are unclear, completely ignore player agency, or require hand-waving game mechanics. Additionally, although this adventure specifically claims to be appropriate for any level party, there are no specific guidelines or suggestions for check and saving throw DCs based on character level. I'd also like to note that the very first room almost guarantees at least a two-way party split, which some may like and others may not, and also note that every one of the 30-odd rooms of the dungeon contains a magic item reward.

Overall, I think the best way for a DM to utilize this content is to take out the puzzles they like (and several of the puzzles are incredibly clever and fun!) for use in their own games, as I do not think this adventure will not survive contact with players. I think this adventure would be greatly improved by playtesting, read-aloud text, a DC table based on level, and an editing pass for clarity and formatting.

The meat of this product is a series of puzzle and joke rooms, all non-combat and non-lethal. You can drop it into your world as written, modify it to fit or use it as a one shot. Clear and well written, easy to adapt and scale and most important, fun to play and run.10/10

This was a very entertaining one shot. I definitely went through the various rooms and changed some of them around to make them harder and I added a few fights between the other competitors to please my players who love combat.

This one shot was an absolute blast to run. I played with a group of veteran players and one first timer and they all loved it. As a DM, the module was super easy to run and only took about 3 hours. The "dungeon" itself was very well constructed and featured a pleathora of unique and classic puzzles and riddles. Every room took about 5-10 mins to complete except for the last 2 which took about 20 mins each. Most of the puzzles have simple solutions but there is plenty of room for your players to improvise their own solutions. My players absolutley adored the NPCs, especially the gnomes in the bar and Testicles. This module is perfect as a side mission as it is easy to fit in any campaign and offers players a nice change of pace from hack and slash/dungeon crawl sessions. There is a ton of humor in it as well so its perfect for DMs and players looking for a break from serious sessions. there are also a few different routes players can take in the "dungeon" so there is a level of replayability that is rare in most modules. As for cons, this module had few. Some of the puzzle descriptions are bit confusing and poorly worded but any DM worth their salt can easily improvise and adapt to make the puzzles run smoothly.

All in all this was a fantastic one shot that I highly recommend to DMs that are looking for a fun little side mission or one shot. I look forward to running it again with a new group of players!

This was a really fun one-shot that I incorporated into my campaign. Our group planned our session on the same day as the NFL's championship game (accidentally), so instead of cancelling, Igor's Challenge became the "Adventurers' Super Bowl!" They are playing through Storm King's Thunder and are seeking the Ring of Winter (not so quietly), so in due course, the party received a mysterious note saying only "I have what you seek" and giving them crypic directions to Igor's. I ran for a party of six 5th level characters, and they loved trying to figure out the puzzles. Ultimately, only one character made it to the end and became the victor... cliffhanger being he doesn't know what he's won just yet, so that'll be my hook for next session. I would absolutely use this one-shot setting again for another campaign. Thanks for the fun!

This was a ton of fun to run for my holiday game. I adapted the beginning and end to better fit my campaign setting. To help track the passage between rooms, and in lieu of a map or terrain, I laid out numbered index cards and had them place their minis on the room they ended up. I also made sure to have them roll initiative just for the game mechanic of giving them each equal stage time. Knowing my players, they were very anxious about splitting up, and they would have been way too discouraged if they were sent to the losers room, so some failed attempts led them to an earlier room instead of the Loser's Room. Their main feedback was that they loved the puzzles, it was fun to explore their different skills and abilities, but there were a lot of rooms. I might abbreviate it a little if I ran it again in the future. Highly recommend this funhouse dungeon to all DMs and would definitely love to use more like it!!!

I really enjoyed DMing this as a one-shot. Played with a group of 6 players, had them all make Lv 8 characters. Some D&D Veterans, some played once or twice, one had never played before at all. Everyone enjoyed it. There were a few moments where the wording of the document made things a little confusing, and trying to prep myself for 33 rooms of puzzles was tough, but overall good fun and will be using it with my other groups.

My players really enjoyed it. Nice deviation from usual hack and slash. You will have to decide your own xp awards for completion. On tougher rooms I allowed a passive perception check to give hints when players were stumped. Also my daughter who played liked it because her name is Katerina.
