This product does exactly what it says on the tin. When they say:
"A streamlined, bare-bones conversion guide for someone who already owns the classic adventure — i.e., encounter-by-encounter conversion notes with any 5E stats needed, leaving out all other content."
That's exactly what your getting. Stats for new monsters and magic items that appear in the adventure are also supplied, which is very useful. Also, with such a low price, it's really a no-brainer to pick this up if you're going to run Q1 yourself. For those reasons, I give it 5/5.
But be warned: just because you have this guide doesn't mean that you won't want to make some updates.
Because the conversion is required to be a strict encounter-by-encounter conversion, some rooms just don't make sense to me. Just as an example, one of the rooms in the demonweb pits has 30 ogres in it. The PCs are supposed to be very high level at this point, and in the context of the AD&D rules those rooms make more sense. But 30 of any creature at any level just seemed exhausting to run, so I had to update those rooms a little bit.
I can't fault this product for that though because they are bound to the Community Content Agreement, and they can't really prepare for all possible groups and players types.
