Outstanding and hugely helpful resoruce for running this encounter. I run an in-person game and the maps alone really helped me get this very complicated encounter organized.

Great work!

I like it. Really helpful and clear. It's good to present the nPC's in a natural way and engage the players in the defence of the city.

This is an excellent resource, it makes running the Triboar battle much more manageable, especially if you run shorter sessions. The short introductory quests are very helpful to breath live into Triboar for a newer DM and to give the players more investment in the NPCs they run during the battle. Highly recommend this, and I look forward to using the author's other resources as my own SKT campaign progresses.

An excellent resource, particularly the side quests. Made it so easy to explore the town and get into a role play session. Havent got to encounter yet, but the suggestions and maps are making that a far less daunting prospect!

Thanks for these great resources. This saves a lot of time preparing a battle which was really overwhelming me during the preperations. I think the author did a great job proposing to split this encounter. The pack contains printable maps for the split encounter and some great suggestions for additional quests. One thing I noticed is that there's another opportunity to create a quest from the assassins's that tried to kill Kolstaag (T.15) but I have to say, the one proposed in this material is much more diverse, and takes the players to many locations. Great job! :)

This module was well-written and does a great job introducing the players to the playable NPCs! It made the time in Triboar much more constructive and the battle maps made for an epic scene.

I cannot recommend this -- and this author's other SKT resources -- highly enough. I used just about all of them in my just-completed run of Storm King's Thunder and they worked great! Starting out the Triboar storyline with these little investigative sidequests was pure genius and my players told me, after the entire campaign was completed, that the Triboar quests were some of their favorite of the game. Definitely worth the very fair price.

I was a little hesitant to purchase this at first, however I really glad I did.

Saved me tonnes of time that I just don't have as well as making this 'giant' encounter digestable for both me and the players.

Thanks

I found this to be quite helpful.

The main battle, as written, can easily overwhelm a GM. There are a lot of moving parts. The suggestion to split it up made sense and worked well for me and my table.

I will be purchasing at least some of the author's other STK materials.

The maps are cute but the suggestion of splitting up the battle encounter subtracts from the immensity of the engagement, IMO. I had hoped the two locations would be adjacent at least so that I could just place the maps beside each other and run them at the same time, instead they're diagonal.

Just ran this tonight and wanted to say my group and I had a blast. I was expecting to get through the pre-attack quests and the attack in a 5 hour session, but after 5 hours of playing we just got to the attack before we had to call it. My players were having so much fun investigating the murder of Mirak and the robbery of The Lion's Share. A particular funny moment was when after finding Tolmara suspicious the Ranger and Sorc distracted her downstairs while the Warlock went outside, climbed a tree and Misty stepped into the attic. He failed his move silent check and Tolmara heard it and she started going to investigate at which point the ranger just knocked her out in front of a couple of villagers which led to a hilarious conversation between the the Sorc and the Villagers trying to convince them she was a murderer. When he failed his persuasion check he decided to bail and just jumped out of a window and began running into the Forrest. This was happening all while the Warlock was fighting the skeleton solo upstairs. It took him bringing the Skeleton down from the attic to convince the villagers to call off the hunt for the Sorcerer and Ranger. It was truly a hilarious and awesome DnD moment. Just wanted to thank the creator for this.

This is a must buy if running the triboar path. I use digital combat maps at my table and appreciated the maps. Even more so, I liked how the events was broken down into manageable parts. This saved me ALOT of time. The two fleshed out side quests were great as well. They made the town come to life and made the battle that much better.

I just started running Storm King's Thunder last week. As a relatively new DM, this guide was amazingly helpful at fleshing out the attack on Triboar. My players had a blast trying to rescue the children from the flames while the battle raged!

I purchased almost all of the other SKT supplemental guides by this author, and am looking forward especially to running "The Kraken's Gamble", and "The Flying Misfortune"

Great stuff!
