Simple to use and a fun introduction. I accidentally miscalculated the amount of gp each player gets, which my players told me immediatley and gave it all back. JOKING they were pleased to start out with a nice lump of gold in their pocket. Does a good job of introing basic rolls and concepts for players, and easy to move to a new location if needed.

I love It! It is great for both new dms and players!! I used it when I was first starting out and still use it when my players want to try Dming or to get a feel for a new party before doing a campaign with them. Its also great to start a campaign with!

Really nice little run through. I used this to introduce my girlfriend to D&D and it was very well recieved.

Good fun.

One thing not mentioned is it's great for new DMs - touches on a lot of game elements and allows for some creativity (like voices or descriptions of the forest or battle customization or whatever).

I also made the bandit fight more difficult. And made the merchant a Gladiator because my kids wanted to kill the merchant and take the gems. Sigh.

My players had a blast with this. It definitely ran longer than a half-hour, especially given all the "how to play" explanations that happen at the table with new players.

I added a larger encounter with the bandit as well, and ran it for a group of level 2 characters, but the structure of the adventure is simple, but effective.

By the time the end of the adventure rolls around, players have a good sense of what they can do in the game. Trying to convince Stonepaw to hold up his end of the bargain ended up being the high point of the night as each player tried to put their characters skills to the test. Many fails were had, and finally they resorted to good old fashioned theft.

With the wizard.

This is very well done and would like to see more. Maybe start the characters out as zero level commoners and based on their actions, assign them points towards what they will progress to be at the end of the adventure.

Simple, comprehensive and to the point. A good starting point for a new DM.

Great adventure for beginners! It gives players a good feel for the types of situations they might encounter while playing. I wish the description of the npc's were a bit more in detail, but other than that, it was great.
