I would recommend this to any first-time DM. I would also recommend it to any experienced DM with the caveat that to make it a truly great experience, it will take some extra preparation.
That said, I have mixed feelings about this adventure.
This is an excellent adventure for a brand new DM to run. It's largely linear, with only a few NPCs to worry about playing. There are incredibly useful stat sheets included for all of the enemies you will include, as well as HP trackers. There are also recommendations for running the adventure at first, second, or third level, which can be useful depending on where your party is at.
On the other hand, anyone with a bit of DM experience will find this adventure fairly plain, and very basic, especially so for the first level version. After the final battle, it just ends as quickly as possible, with a note on a single "random" encounter on your way back. Furthermore, while one of the reviews in the header advertises "amusing NPCs," I must mention that only Bale and two enemy npcs are given any sort of a personality, and there is nothing more than a physical description of several plot central NPCs, which ties into the problem that the game frantically rushes to its conclusion after the final fight.
For the price, I would expect a bit more, but it does only advertise as a 2-3 hour adventure, which does ring true.
I would like to re-emphasize that you do not need the Bale's Outfitting Outpost module to run this adventure. Furthermore, that adventure adds little to this one, so if you're considering getting both, do it for their own adventures, not because you need them both.
