I consistently come back to this guide to help balance custom races for my games. A year and a half since I first picked it up, I eagerly await the updates.

A really useful book for player and DM alike. Multiple new classes, and races for that memorable Bad guy, and a creature generator for the dungeon master who wants something unique to throw a curveball at the party. Interesting new feats, and the anti-druid is well worth a look for that perfect foil. Also.. the abomination that is a dwelf... check that out! (Yes... I play an elf... hence the stance lol)

There are a lot of character options here that really makes the character creation a wholly new experience. Options I have thought of myself are there, like 'Half dwarf', but also unconventional ones like a malfunctioning Modron (the robots from the plane Mechanus) look like fun.

There are also a lot of new archtypes, providing more flexibility within existing classes, profoundly changing the class. Weaving in spellcasting in a new primal path of the Barbarian class, for example. Some though, are a bit more for flavour, not really adding some new mechanic or option. Like the Lion Totem spirit, which is a combination of phb and scag options, which we already could combine. Features like the Blindsight of the Bat totem spirit, or having a poisonous aura of the Skunk totem spirit are cool new additions.

Some really nice additions to the cleric domain list and druid circles. You can now worship dragons, krakens, lady luck, or be druid of the Thicket or druid of the Seasons. Some silly additions like a Fighting Style called dual shields are providing fun, but not necessarily providing realism and probably could be exploited by a min-maxer. Honourable mention for the Trapper subclass of the Ranger, looks very detailed with all kinds of different traps to set up. Very handy. The greater favored enemy addition of wounded creatures (with less than 25% hp) looks to me as a bit too strong. For me, that would be a no brainer. Pact of Armor for the warlocks looks awesome.

I feel like there's gone an enormous amount of work a thought into this work. Especially the new classes are very deep, giving you far better character creation experience as a whole. It's writing style is easy, full of references to published material for your convenience.

This is perhaps the most comprehensive D&D supplement I've ever had the pleasure of reading. It is well written,well presented and reminds me of the appendices you find in the J.R.R. Tolkien books. Highly recommended!

There are many interesting ideas and useful content. Also, I appreciate that the guide adds new content each month. However, the formatting and proofreading are quite lacking. I understand it must be a lot of work to add new content each month, but some of the sections seem to have been thrown together without any sufficient editing. Have a third-party proofreader review the guide each time before posting a new version. That said, this is still a great creative resource--it just needs more polish.

Very helpful guide. contains alot of new or updated info on classes.

Good to have as guide to building new characters. also comes with spells and anti spells.

Would recommend to download if your looking to make a unique character in a new class.
