I loved this! It's the perfect companion for my wizard that wanted to work into a necromancer.

Professional layout and keeping in the 5E theme and format. Includes both class lists and thematic lists (against undead, anatomy & healing, despair & dread) which is super helpful. There are a lot of spells (too many for me to say each one is perfect) but they seem balanced and attention was paid to each one. The author is also very responsive if you have comments or questions! Great addition to a 5E game looking for some darker spells.

"Thematic Lists" are why you should buy this collection of necromantic spells over the other ones: The thematic lists organize all the releveant spells in the book into lists approprate for different types of campaign or use, for example "against the undead" contains spells that are designed to use for that purpose, while "mastery of the undead" is the list for creating and controlling the undead. So you can pick a choose a sublists based on what you want to use necromancy for in your campaign. Pretty cool. The spells themselves are flavorful and cool, but not overpowered. Actually, the spells aim for slightly lower than PHB levels of power: They're still good, but in a very reasonable way that would make it hard for DM's to say "no" to including them in their campaigns. 5 stars!

This addition to my homebrew game has surely spiced up Necromancy for some of my players! Most of the spells in here are well-written in balanced. I was wondering, however, where the "Plague of Undead" spell is? It's in the class spell list overviews, but nowhere to be found in the rest of the file. Was it removed before publishing? Or is it supposed to be in there?

Plague of Undead was one that didn't work out as I originally intended (Just adding a horde of skeletons/zombies didn't seem quite right) but it's now been added back in along with a couple others! Very happy to hear any reports of how things did/didn't work out well for your game(s).

Still going through it, but based on the work you did on the elemental magic of Zakhara, I am betting I'll like it. I note some of these I did remake myself, so I'll have to compare versions to see which I like more (may remove my own if this works mechanically better, or may keep both). Even moreso, I'm starting to make a spell list of all the DMs Guild spells that I like (starting to think I need to make a database to make life easier), and this stuff will likely be included. BTW, I like the low level animate spells, because there are times when you want to animate something and just make it walk ahead of the group, so the ones that are rituals would see a lot of use (cantrips not so much, as they're special slots that you can't change). Oh, and I like the idea behind spectral hand, but I need to look at 5e touch spells to see if they're instantaneous duration or last until used... for instance, shocking grasp is instantaneous, so you wouldn't be able to use it through your spectral hand... vampiric touch however isn't because its multiple rounds. It might be worth changing the wording of the cantrip so that it ends at the END of your next turn rather than the beginning just to clear up these catch 22's (i.e. you cast it the round before in preparation for using it the next round)... or maybe change it to a reactionary action, which you can take whenever you cast a touch based spell (though that may be a little more powerful). The idea however is great.

Hi, I did look at this when I updated things, but Spectral Hand is a bonus action to cast, so you can cast the cantrip right before you cast another touch spell, or again in later rounds if you'd make a melee spell attack.

Pretty awesome to see the old school spells in a current format. The book is very aesthetic with great artwork and a very "2nd Edition” feel to it. Professional looking layout. Great job with the spells. Highly recommended product!
