Deep story with great opportunity for role-playing and good combat. Story has several plot twists that really add to the overall level of engagement. Both player and DM felt deeply connected to the character and world by the end of this event. Not an easy feat in a one shot! PC is pretty powerful so I made the bad guys a bit harder (used max HP for example, probably should have boosted AC too but did not).

It is good to see more 1 vs 1 content. In terms of content and quality, this one has it all. Colour layout, old school artwork, story, background material, maps, and depth. With over 90 pages of material I could even easily expand this beyond 1 vs 1 and run it with a full group with very little effort. A true classic wilderness adventure
